MISSION STATEMENT
Friends of Firefighters is dedicated to addressing the
physical, mental health, and wellness needs of New York
City’s firefighters and their families. Our ongoing mission
is to provide long-term support and services through
confidential counseling, wellness services and other
assistance required by firefighters and their families.

WHAT’S HAPPENING 2015?
Friends of Firefighters is focused on meeting the needs of New York City firefighters
and their families through independent, confidential, and free services such as
counseling, financial guidance, acupuncture, yoga, biofeedback, and peer
support.
In 2014 we expanded our services to make them more accessible. Services are
now offered in all 5 boroughs. We also implemented a 24/7 Crisis Hotline, an
Internet Counseling Program, and expanded our Peer Support Program, which are
all accessible from anywhere.
