Paula Vogel’s Pulitzer Prize winning play is the story of a woman who learns the rules of the road and life from behind the wheel. It is a wildly funny, surprising and devastating tale of survival, a sexual coming of age through the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s as seen through the provocative lens of a troubling relationship between a young girl and an older man. STEP 1 STEP 2 City State Phone A Drama Desk award winner, the musical has been translated into a handful of languages and was named one of Time Magazine’s 10 best shows of 2001. The show is an emotionally powerful and intimate musical about two New Yorkers who fall in and out of love over the course of five years.
