Announcement! Advanced Footwear Impression Examination Class Instructors: Date & Location: William J. Bodziak & Lesley Hammer September 12-‐16, 2016 Department of Safety, State of New Hampshire 33 Hazen Drive, Concord, New Hampshire 03305 $850 Cost: The goal of this course is to explore issues that arise once an examiner is actively working footwear impression evidence cases and to further develop their ability to arrive at and communicate their conclusions. Course Description: This 4½ day course will apprise experienced examiners of new research, techniques, products, manufacturing updates and other topics that are relevant to maintain and improve their current proficiency in this discipline. The course will include challenging casework issues, include joint work on case samples and examples and explore accurate and reliable conclusions through hands on examination and active discussions. This course will address the composition of a thorough examination method; the complete documentation and recording of that method in accordance with current standards; and will focus on reporting in a manner that transparently, clearly and completely conveys results and opinions of the examiner. Pre-‐requisites and other information: This course is designed for law enforcement and laboratory personnel who conduct forensic examination of footwear evidence and render opinions and provide written reports in this discipline. Because the level of instruction in this course will presume some basic knowledge and experience in this field, this class is not recommended for new examiners or those with minimal prior training. A small amount of preparation on the part of the participants may be requested prior to the course. A credit card number will be needed to make a reservation; however, no deposit is required.

that if there are no reservations made 60 days prior to arrival, the hotel will cancel the room block under the
assumption that the event has either cancelled or another hotel was selected.
It is the client’s responsibility to periodically touch base with the hotel to see how many rooms
have been reserved; if the group rate is still available; and what our expected occupancy is as of that
moment. You will not be notified when your block is full or when the group rate is no longer being honored.
