Fresh Husker By Hughes
Designed To Give You Clean, High Profit Ears
The Fresh Husker is designed to gently and efficiently remove husks and
provide ears ready for fresh market or fresh frozen sale – enhancing your profit.
The Fresh Husker has a capacity of 20 to 30 ears per minute, depending
on variety and conditions of corn. It has excellent husking efficiency – 75
percent in ideal conditions with shanks removed. The Fresh Husker can
be operated by one person. A variety of roll configurations are available,
depending on your product.
Access to water, air and single phase 230V power is required (power cord
not provided). A water spray helps keep the rolls clean to ensure the most
efficient, continuous husking. An air manifold is supplied for producers of
ready-to-eat product.
The Fresh Husker can be easily transported. Lockable casters keep the
husker secure during use.
THE FRESH HUSKER ALSO REMOVES
 Stems and debris from fruit (typically citrus and apples) and vines
 Tops and debris from beets, carrots, onions, potatoes and radishes

is a manually fed unit that can cut up
to 100 ears per minute. It operates
