(PART) and Southern California Airfield Tour Keith Metzler is the Director of Economic Development for the City of Victorville where he is principally responsible for directing Victorville’s business development and marketing activities, the administration of four redevelopment project areas and the agency’s affordable housing program. In addition to the role of Director of Economic Development, Keith also serves as Assistant Director to the Victorville Public Development Corporation, a non-profit affordable housing corporation and is Executive Director to the Victor Valley Economic Development Authority. He is also a member of CoreNet, NAIOP, and IEDC. Accomplishments Mr. Metzler is most proud of while serving the City of Victorville is being responsible for the build-out of approximately 2 million square feet of industrial space in Foxborough Industrial Park. Mr. Metzler is also responsible for the build-out of the Auto Park at Valley Center, the City’s first auto mall and has just completed a negotiation with the Dr Pepper Snapple Group to build an 850,000 square foot manufacturing and warehouse facility expected to employ 210 people and cost $120 million to build. Mr. Metzler earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of California, Riverside and a Masters degree in Business Administration from California State University, San Bernardino. Victorville is home to Keith, his wife and their 4 year old daughter. Jim Worsham Business Development and Aviation Marketing Southern California Logistics Airport 760-243-1900 (o) 760-243-1929 (f) jworsham@ci.victorville.ca.us Jim Worsham is the Director of Business Development and Aviation Marketing at Southern California Logistics Airport, he brings over 50 years aviation experience in Jet Engines, Aircraft Leasing/Financing, aircraft conversions and airport development. Jim has extensive worldwide contacts and has proven himself an expert international marketer and “closer”. Currently, Jim is the owner and manager of a consulting company, Aircraft Marketing, Inc. He is responsible for 13 clients, including functioning as their Chairman. Prior to this, Jim served as Chairman of GPA Group plc, an aircraft leasing and financing company. He successfully managed a team in the buying, selling and leasing of aircraft, eventually starting an MRO in China. Jim served as President of McDonnell Douglas Aircraft Company. He expanded Douglas Aircraft Company to include handling both military and commercial business, including the C17, K-10, DC-10, MD-11, MD-80 family and the MD-90. Jim started “rent – a – plane”. Most notable however, Jim is recognized for his over 30 year tenure at General Electric serving as Vice President Military Engines, Vice President Commercial Engines, and then Vice President Marketing Development. Jim’s educational background includes a Master of Science ME degree from the University of Arkansas and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Vanderbilt University. Professional achievements include, Aviation Week “Man-of-the-Year”(two years), Doctor of Science, Honoric Causa from Northrup University, 2007 Southern California Global Leader of the Year, Former Member , US Science and Technologies Board for President Bush’s First Trade Mission to China.
