Introduction to Los Cabos
Los Cabos is different from ordinary Mexican
vacation lands. Because of its geographic
separation (and isolation) from mainland
Mexico, the Los Cabos tourist industry grew
up with closer ties to California than the rest
of Mexico. Happily, you’ll discover a definite
California ambiance (and attitude) that gives
these Baja “capes” (“cabos” means “capes”)
their dual Mexican and American culture.
Los Cabos (The Capes) is located at the tip of the
Baja California peninsula, surrounded by the Gulf
of California (better known as the Sea of Cortez)
and the Pacific Ocean. Los Cabos has beautiful
landscapes where the wonders of the desert mix
with the blue of the ocean; offering extraordinary
desert vegetation in its many canyons and
streams that make Los Cabos a one of a kind
destination in Mexico.

Day One
Tuesday, June 7, 2016
Arrive at San José Del Cabo International
Airport (SJD).
Important Arrival Information:
On your flight into Cabo, your flight attendant
handed you two forms, a Mexican Tourist
Card and a Customs Declaration that you
were required to fill out. Please keep those
handy. Now that you have arrived at the
Cabo airport, you will first pass through
Immigration. You’ll need to present your valid
passport and the completed Mexican Tourist
Card. The officer will take the top ⅔ of the
form and hand you back your passport and
the rest of this important form. Store this
part of this card in your passport (or some
safe space) as you will need it to depart
Mexico. Don’t lose it!
Once through Immigration, pick up your
luggage and proceed to Customs. Here you will
turn in your Customs Declaration Form and
will be asked to press a button. If the light is
green, you proceed through, if the light is red,
your luggage will be inspected. After passing
through customs go past the time-share sales
people waiting to pitch you and head outside
through the exit with your luggage.
Your Cabo Journeymasters will be holding a
Kyocera Masters Club Los Cabos sign waiting to
transfer you to the celebrated Dreams Los Cabos
Suites Golf Resort & Spa in a private coach or van,
about 30 minutes away. The AAA Four Diamond
award-winning resort, Dreams Los Cabos
embraces the elegance of traditional colonial
Mexican design and truly reflects the beauty and

splendor of Los Cabos. Located on the sparkling
Sea of Cortez, this luxurious seaside resort boasts
two swimming pools – the infinity pool and the
adults-only pool, two swim-up bars, Pevonia fullservice spa, fitness center and gourmet à la carte
restaurants.
As a Kyocera Masters Club Member, you’ll have
your own private check-in and be greeted with
a cool towel and a refreshing cocktail. You will
be asked to show your passport along with
the Mexican Tourist card. The hotel will make
a copy of both and return them to you (please
keep in a very safe place.) The official check-in
time at Dreams is 3:00 pm, so if your room is not
immediately available, we will have a changing
room provided so you can jump into the pool or
hit the beach right away.
Before our Kyocera Masters Club welcome party
tonight, unwind in your luxurious Dreams Los
Cabos Ocean View Junior Suite where you can
watch the sparkling sea from your private balcony.
7:00 pm -10:00 pm Masters Club Private
Beachside Grand Welcome
Tonight is an upscale unrestrained barbecue on
the Terrace at Dreams’ Cascade Beach to welcome
The Kyocera Masters Club to Cabo San Lucas.
The evening starts and ends with a cocktail party
(since the premium bar is open throughout the
night) with a DJ playing local favorites. Enjoy a
lavish tropical buffet to include fresh fish, chicken,
flank steak, pork loin, a carving station with sliced
sirloin, a variety of salads & sides, and of course a
lovely selection of desserts.

Kyocera Masters Club Answer Book
What will the weather be like?
Answer: Sun and more sun! During the month
of June, the average daily high is 86°, the low 75°.
June is one of the driest months of the year;
the average amount of rain to fall is about 0.1
inch. Sparkling pools and beautiful beach here
we come!
What should I pack for clothes?
Answer: Casual sport clothes during the day.
Bring things you feel comfortable walking in
or playing in. Our first evening is an oceanside
welcome buffet so shorts, dresses, anything goes.
Our final evening will be a bit dressier – we start
with a one hour cocktail party, followed by a gala
gourmet dinner and dancing and the all-important
presentations of the Kyocera Masters Club
Awards. A photographer will be snapping photos.
A worthwhile tip: while it may be warm outside,
all indoor spots will be air-conditioned to about
60°; at least it always seems like 60°. When
you’re sitting still you can get pretty chilled. It’s
a good idea to bring a shoulder wrap or a jacket.
If you plan on golfing, remember certain courses
allow only non-metal spiked golf shoes. Proper
golf attire required - collared shirts, tailored
pants or Bermuda length shorts (no cutoffs), no
jeans or sweat pants.
What is the dress code for evening dining at
Dreams?
Answer: The dress code for dining at Dreams’
restaurants is Casual, Casual Elegance or Elegance.
10AAdventure Book

Elegance: Bordeaux
Men – Buttoned shirt, slacks. Dress shoes
Ladies – Blouses, skirts, pants or dresses, dress
sandals or high heels.
What are the passport requirements?
Important Answer: A valid (not expired)
passport is required for all U.S. citizens. Your
passport must have an expiration date of a
minimum of 6 months after your return date
(December 11, 2016). In addition to your valid
passport, the Tourist Card (provided to you by
your flight attendant on your flight into Cabo)
will be presented to Dreams upon check-in.
Tell me about my arrival at the airport in Cabo.
Important information: Before you arrive in
Cabo San Lucas, your flight attendant will hand
you two forms, a Mexican Tourist Card, and a
Customs Declaration. You will be required to
fill each of them out including your departure
information. Remember to bring a pen on the
plane! Once you arrive at the airport in Cabo, you
will first pass through Immigration. You’ll need to
present your current passport and the completed
Mexican Tourist Card. The officer will take the
top ⅔ the form, and hand you back your passport
and the rest of this important form. Store the
part of the card in your passport (or some safe
space) as you will need that part of the form to
depart Mexico. Don’t lose it!
Adventure Book........................................................................11
Once through immigration, pick up your luggage
and proceed to Customs. Here you will turn
in your Customs Declaration Form and will be
asked to press a button. If the light is green, you
proceed through; if the light is red, your luggage
will be inspected. After passing through customs
go past the time-share sales people waiting to
pitch you and head outside through the exit
where Cabo journeymasters will be holding a
Kyocera Masters Club Los Cabos sign.
What if I am not a U.S. citizen?
Answer: Citizens of other countries and U.S.
residents with foreign passports may need
additional documentation (such as a permanent
resident card, or a visa) for entry along with
a passport. Contact the Mexican embassy or
consulate nearest you for more information
about the requirements specific to your situation.
Do I receive airline tickets?
Answer: Your complete airline itinerary/
electronic ticket information is included in the
Winner’s mailing.
How much luggage may I bring?
Answer: There is a charge for checked bags and
each airline is different.
Here is the per person allowance as of April
2016. Subject to change. If you bring your golf
clubs, don’t forget to count your golf bag as one
piece of checked luggage.

The total combined dimensions (length plus
width plus height) must not exceed 61 inches
per bag, and must not weigh over 50 pounds.
Fees for oversize or overweight bags can be as
high as $200, depending on the airline. You are
now allowed only one carry-on bag with total
combined dimensions not exceeding 45 inches
and 40 pounds. Plus one personal item such as a
purse or laptop.
Don’t forget the 3-1-1 Rule for carry-ons:
3.4 ounce (100 ml) bottle or less (by volume);
1 quart-sized, clear, plastic, zip-top bag; 1 bag
per passenger placed in screening bin. If in
doubt, put your liquids in checked luggage.
What about luggage tags?
Answer: Two special Kyocera Masters Club
luggage tags for each guest are included in this
mailing. Please be certain to put one on every
piece of luggage you check (don’t forget your golf
bag). If the airline does “misplace” (we never
say “lose” a bag), it’s immeasurably easier to
locate the misplaced luggage if there is a Kyocera
Masters Club bag tag attached.
What should I see on my baggage receipt?
Answer: Check your luggage: The airline baggage
receipt should have SJD (that’s Los Cabos
International Airport in airline language) on the
top line as final destination for your baggage.
Important Note: When you are at the airport in
the States and searching the airline electronic
board for your flight, look for Los Cabos or
Cabo San Lucas. Each airline might call it
something different.
Adventure Book....................................................................... 13
When should I be at the airport?
Important Answer: TSA suggests arriving at
least 3 hours prior to your scheduled flight time.
Security lines are expected to be longer due to
TSA cutbacks. Three hours may be too early
if your flight has an early morning departure.
If you are unsure, please call your airline and
ask what time the ticket counter opens in
your departure city. You’ll need to be at your
departure gate 45 minutes prior to departure.
Note: this rule applies now more than ever.
Security has been tightened, so please be patient.
Will I earn Frequent Flyer miles on my ticket?
Answer: Yes, please call us with your frequent
flier number. Most flights are on Delta, United,
American & Southwest Airlines. Here are the
telephone numbers if you are not a member
and would like to join: Delta SkyMiles 1-800323-2323; United Mileage Plus 1-800-4214655; American Advantage 1-800-882-8880;
Southwest Rapid Rewards 1-800-445-5764.
What about prescription medicines?
Answer: Pack them in the bag you carry on the
airplane. Luggage does get misplaced, usually
temporarily, but sometimes temporarily is too
long to go without your prescription medicines.
What is the time difference?
Answer: Cabo San Lucas is located in Mountain
Standard Time Zone, the same time zone as
Denver. So, if it’s 4:00 pm in Cabo, it’s two hours
behind Eastern Time Zone (Newark, 6:00 pm),
and one hour behind Central Time (Chicago, 5:00
pm), and one hour ahead of West Coast Time
(Los Angeles, 3:00 pm).
14AAdventure Book
What is the electricity in Cabo San Lucas?
Answer: The electrical supply in Cabo San Lucas
is 110-120 volts/60 cycles standard,
and electrical appliances use plugs that are
two-pronged and flat just like those used in the
United States.
Can I use my cell phone? What about Wi-Fi?
Answer: Yes! Free Wi-Fi and free international
calling to the US, Canada and local landlines
is available to you through the hotel’s app:
Unlimited Connectivity by AMResorts. This
complimentary mobile and tablet app allows
you to stay connected to those you are with, as
well as friends and family back home. Utilizing
the app call feature you won’t incur any cell
phone roaming charges. You can also contact the
resort staff directly to book spa appointments,
housekeeping, order room service and more. The
app is full of information about dining, resort
activities, local attractions and more that will
enhance your stay. The app is available in the
Apple, Android and Windows app stores.
Please note: The app will not work until you
are at the resort. Once you arrive, you’ll need
to register your phone or tablet with your room
number. The app is currently in version 2.0, so
we can’t promise it will work perfectly.
What is the currency in Cabo?
Answer: Mexican currency is the peso, although
some places may accept the U.S. dollar for
payment. Currency exchange is available at the
hotel’s front desk. Most establishments accept
major credit cards.
Adventure Book....................................................................... 15
Can I use my credit cards?
Answer: Yes. Dreams accepts MasterCard, Visa,
and American Express for payment of your
incidental expenses (spa services, laundry, etc.).
Upon check-in, the desk clerk will request an
imprint of your credit card; the hotel will put a
hold on the card of 5000 pesos (approximately
$300 USD) to maintain an incidental account
in your name. Because of this hold, it is not
recommended to use a debit card. This will also
make check-out faster and easier.
Tell me about my room at Dreams Los Cabos!
Answer: The Junior Suites are spacious (650 sq.
ft.) and luxurious, each with a spectacular ocean
views from your private furnished balcony! Each
room is furnished with one king or two double
beds, Satellite TV (with select HD channels), a
desk and an easy chair and a separate sitting area
with a sofa bed. Other amenities included are
in-room climate control a/c, high speed internet,
coffee/tea maker, in-room safe, clothes steamer,
plush bathrobe & slippers, and radio alarm clock
with MP3 docking station. The marble bath
features luxury soaps, shampoo/conditioner in
one and other products. If your tresses prefer
separate shampoo and conditioner – please feel
free to bring your own.
Is there a hair dryer in my room?
Answer: Yes there is; a real portable one at your
vanity, not the fake kind that hangs on the wall.
Are the contents in my mini-bar free?
Answer: Yes. And it will be replenished daily
with beer, juice, soft drinks, and bottled water.
16AAdventure Book
Where is the Hospitality Desk located?
Answer: Our hospitality desk will be located in
the main lobby opposite the Lobby Bar, please
come by and say hello! We’ll be there each
morning from 8:00 am to the start of the evening
function.
What about tipping?
Answer: All gratuities to service people for our
Kyocera Masters Club functions are included.
However, if a bell person or someone does you a
special personal favor; a little tip may be in order.
By the way, all taxes on included features are
taken care of, too.
How can I check-out of Dreams?
Answer: The morning of your departure, the
hotel will slide your incidental bill under your
door. Review your charges, then head down to
the front desk to check-out. You will be given a
check-out pass which the bellman will require
when you leave Dreams.
How can someone contact me?
Answer: You’ll be staying at the Dreams Los
Cabos Suites Golf Resort & Spa. The particulars
on communicating are as follows:
