Last year at this time, we were dealing with an unseasonable April frost that had its serious effects
on our vineyards in Murphys. This April, bud break is beginning and soon, the vines will be flowering
with this year's crop. May the future 2009 vintage be one of the best!

Ironstone's Summer Concert Series
We are expecting that the Ironstone Summer Concert Series lineup will be announced later this
month. Only an announcement directly from Ironstone can be considered official. Other sources

Wine of the Month: 2006 Verdelho

Verdelho is not as well of a know varietal, but is a delicious alternative white.
A varietal originating in Portugual, the style in our bottle is crisp, fruity with a balanced
acidity.

Cooking Classes
Sunday, April 5 & April 25
Chef James Lehman's popular cooking classes
have openings.
Sushi Rolls, on April 5, focuses on the basics
of making homemade Sushi Rolls.
Puddings and Custards on April 25, will help
you prepare these deserts with homemade
ingredients. Learn how to get the perfect
firmness and texture you need to make them
delightful.
Classes are $75 per person, which include
hands on training in our kitchen, the materials, a
souvenir to take home, plus eat the food you
prepare.
Beginning at 11 a.m. sharp and ending around 4
p.m., these classes won't be around again until
fall. Make your reservations.

Join the Easter Bunny & Ironstone Vineyards for a
delightful brunch to celebrate Easter. Feast on a wide
variety of fabulous treats prepared by Executive Chef
James Lehman. With an Easter egg hunt & children’s craft
corner from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., this event will have
many surprises.
Brunch seatings are at 9:30am, 11:30am and 1:30pm.
Prices are $39 per adult, $18.00 per child aged 9 to 12
and $10.00 per child 8 and under. All prices include tax &
gratuity.

The Easter Egg Hunt starts at 11:30am for children ages 4
and under (adults can assist!), 12:00pm for children ages
5 to 8 (no adult assistance please!) and 12:30pm for
children ages 9 to 12 (again, no adult assistance please!).

Easter Hat Contest
Easter Sunday, April 12th
Children are encouraged to wear their most interesting
Easter Hat to the Easter Egg Hunt.
The hat voted the best by our staff will win an Easter
Basket.
An award will be given to a boy and a girl in each of the
age categories (same as the Egg Hunt).
Spring Lamb Roast
Saturday, April 25, 5:30 p.m.
Enjoy a casual spring evening out at our Canyon Trail
Park barbecue pit for a roasted spring lamb.
The lamb will be roasted with all of the fixings to go with.
$20 per adult, $10 per child, no host wine and beer.
Dinner will start at 6:00 p.m. sharp.

Mother's Day Brunch

Celebrate your mother with an elegant brunch in
Ironstone Vineyards' Music Room.
Seating times: 9:30 am, 11:30 am & 1:30 pm

Hats Off and On Display
A display of fancy hats and dolls are on
exhibit in the Ironstone Jewelry Shoppe
and Museum. Victorian Hat Creations by
designer "The Fanciful Lady, Pauline"
will be on display at the Museum through
Mother's Day.
