The XLFD Predator cab has a 16-inch raised roof with extended space in the crew area for seating and equipment storage. The cab interior features five customized storage cabinets. The unit is powered by a 450-hp Cummins ISL engine and features a 1,500-gpm Waterous pump. The speedlays are stored beneath the cab extension with pull-out trays for quick deployment and simplified repacking without crawling up on the apparatus. The suctions and primary discharges are positioned beneath the cab, away from the pump operator, to provide a safe working zone. A Waterous Advantus 6 foam system provides both Class A and Class B foam operations through the touch of one button. The pump operator’s panel is in the driver-side front body compartment and features a diagrammatic panel for simplified operations. The custom-designed tank offers 1,000 gallons of water, 30 gallons of Class A foam and 20 gallons of Class B foam, with both foam cells having remote-fill capability from the pump-panel area. The body is constructed of 3/16-inch aluminum with full-height/ full-depth compartments on the driver side and full-height/splitdepth compartments on the officer side. The apparatus provides more than 480 cubic feet of enclosed storage capacity for equipment.
