PEMBROKE WELSH CORGI CLUB OF THE GARDEN STATE
The Pembroke Welsh Corgi Club of the Garden State was founded in 1984 as a not for profit organization
dedicated to the promotion and preservation of the Pembroke Welsh Corgi breed. If you are interested in
the possibility of becoming a club member, check out our website at: www.pwcorgiclubgs.org. You can
find out more about our club on our "About Us" page. Throughout the year we sponsor many educational
and competitive events to highlight the special qualities of this wonderful dog. Please contact us for
additional information.
Proceeds from Funday Sunday help fund PWCCGS Rescue and PWCCGS club programs focused on
education and the promotion of the breed. PWCCGS Rescue performs the important tasks of evaluating,
transporting, fostering and placing our rescue corgis. We can always use additional volunteers to help
with these efforts. We invite you to visit the Rescue Tent to learn more about the program or to volunteer.
Our club members are dedicated to the Pembroke Welsh Corgi breed. They include owners, handlers,
trainers, judges, breeders and rescuers and their interests and activities run the gamut from agility to
working herding dogs. Club members will be staffing all the events at Funday Sunday. All are eager to chat
with you about corgis and will try to answer any questions you may have.
FUNDAY SUNDAY LOCATION: 120 WEST WOODSCHURCH ROAD, FLEMINGTON, NJ 08822

place at the Overlook Pavilion, which is adjacent to and just downhill from the main parking lot,
overlooking the lake.

right onto West Woodschurch Road, following the signs for Deer Path Park and the YMCA. Proceed about
0.7 miles on West Woodschurch Road to the entrance to the park on the right. The YMCA's entrance is
the immediate right off of the driveway. Continue pass the YMCA entrance. The parking lot for the fields
will be visible on the left-hand side of the driveway. The main parking lot for the park is located at the end
of the driveway near the rest rooms.
Directions from the Clinton Area: Take Route 31 South about 6.5 miles from Interstate 78. Use the jughandle for West Woodschurch Road to cross over Route 31. Follow the signs for Deer Path Park and the
YMCA. Then follow the corresponding directions above.
TIPS FOR AN ENJOYABLE FUNDAY SUNDAY
While there is potable water at the park, we suggest you bring water for your pet from home to drink.
Bring lawn chairs and/or a blanket if you plan to picnic, there are a few picnic tables in the pavilion. Hats,
sunscreen and insect repellent are always a good idea. Wear casual, comfortable outdoor shoes, most
areas are lawn, but there are changes of terrain. If the day is hot, PWCCGS will have a small wading pool
set up for the dogs to cool off in. If your dog minds the heat, bringing a water spray bottle may be a good
idea. There will be a lot of corgis of all ages and a lot of excitement, please be considerate of each other
and keep your corgi under control on a fixed, short lead. This is rural New Jersey…be sure to check your
dogs for ticks after the event. There will be poop bags and appropriate receptacles to clean up after your
dog. Most importantly have fun! There is a lot to see and do! Hope we see you there, and thank you for
your support!
