The county was able to re-purpose a veteran set of scale platforms, obtained used in Picabo, as a thrifty new deck for this key bridge in the Camas County road network! ❦ Arbor Day Celebration! Planting Party at the Fairfield Clinic May 14! F rom Brenda Moyers: “This year’s Arbor Day Celebration will take place May 14, 2016. As part of the festivities we will be planting trees at the Medical Center Shelterbelt site, 401 West Camas, Fairfield. If you are interested in volunteering to help with the planting or if you would like to contribute monetarily to the project, please contact the Camas Conservation District. There will also be free blue spruce seedlings, educational packets with coloring pages, word games, tattoos, etc. for children and we will be raffling a tree to some lucky winner!” ❦ Momday! Mayday! T he Camas County School District has an immediate opening for the position of Maintenance and Custodial Supervisor. The successful applicant will oversee maintenance and custodial services in addition to serving part of the time as custodian. A high school diploma is required. Experience and/or knowledge is preferred in building and custodial maintenance, boiler operations, electrical, plumbing, HVAC maintenance, general construction, fire systems and alarms as well as supervision of personnel.
