Services for Book Groups - West Bloomfield Township Public Library
To check out a “Book Group To-Go” kit, groups must first register with the Library as a West Bloomfield community book group. A member of the group (who has a West Bloomfield library card) can then check out a Book Group To-Go kit for six weeks. Kits may be reserved one year in advance. A cardholder is limited to checking out two kits at the same time; kits cannot be renewed. To register your book group, call the Adult Information Desk at (248) 232-2290. Help from Discussion Pros Schedule your book group meeting at the Library and we’ll provide the discussion. Talk, laugh and learn while our experienced staff conducts the discussion of any title you choose. Kits for Book Groups with “Everything To-Go” Grab a “Book Group To-Go” bag loaded with everything your book group needs for a memorable book discussion. There are more than 60 titles to choose from, including many in large print! Each kit includes: • Ten paperback copies of one of the titles listed below. • A “Let’s Talk” reading guide to help stimulate lively discussion. • Reviews of the book from Publisher’s Weekly and other sources. • Biographical information about the author. • A copy of The Reading Group Book: The Complete Guide to Starting and Sustaining a Reading Group. This helpful guide also includes annotated lists of 250 suggested titles for provocative book discussions.
