Archery Deer Hunts
Hunt ID: NE-WDeerTurkey-All-Niobara-GNG-James
If you are just coming for a deer hunt this is not for you. If you are coming for a trophy
quality deer for a possible record book entry this is where you will get it.
Here you can shoot Iowa Class bucks in Nebraska. Remember an Iowa Tag will cost you
$ 550 for ONE deer and you will need points to draw with a shotgun, muzzleloader or
bow. Here in Nebraska your tag is only $209 and you can use a high power rifle with a
scope during the rut!
As for turkey these are the few turkeys in Nebraska that are not a Rio/Eastern Hybrid.
This is a pure strain of Merriam’s with a paper white trim on their tail feathers.
This Quality Outfitter is located where the sand hills and the farm country meet in northern Nebraska. What
this means to the sportsman is a variety of high quality habitats supporting an abundant variety of game. So
whether you are looking for fertile farmlands growing soybeans, alfalfa and corn to produce trophy Nebraska
whitetails, or the rolling combination farm/ranch country and oak filled sand hills creeks that support unmatched
densities of Merriam’s turkey, or the open grasslands of the sand hills which support the best populations of
prairie chickens you'll find today, as well as buffalo and predator hunting you'll find a true sportsman's paradise.
Scenic Sand hills and Farm Country
When you hunt with, you can expect a family friendly, down
home, country atmosphere. You will stay in one of three
farmhouses in northern Nebraska. The farmhouses are
modern and kept clean and comfortable. Washer and dryer
are available so that you don’t have to pack too many
clothes. Unless otherwise specified, home cooked meals are
included in all hunts. We can guarantee you won’t lose any
weight when you hunt with us. Deer and turkey hunts are
guided on a 2 to 1 guide ratio.
When you wake up in the morning, you and your guide will
literally decide where to hunt on a total of 70,000 private land
acres on three rivers and several creeks. A ten minute drive
with your guide in one of our 4x4s north and you are hunting
the Missouri River, a ten minute drive south and you are at
the Niobrara river. All of the properties are very scenic and
are either owned by us, or exclusively leased by us and
managed under quality deer management practices. The
quality of our hunting properties ensures a high game density
situation and high quality trophy animals. Except for our bison
recreation hunts, all of our other hunts are fair chase hunts
for wild game in wild and scenic farm and ranch country.
There are no high fences. We are not a game farm. This is
hunting as it was meant to be!
We expect you will either drive to camp (driving directions are provided at time of booking), or else you will fly to
Sioux City, Iowa (recommended airport) where you will rent a car and drive 2 hours west to our camps.
Trophy Whitetail Deer Hunts
Nebraska is one of the sleeper states for big
whitetails and we are in the best area for big
bucks. Extremely good nutrition, low pressure on
well managed private land and large ranches
make the perfect combination for exceptional
whitetail hunting. Combine this with reasonably
priced tags which you are guaranteed to get and
there just isn't a more economical way to enjoy a
trophy whitetail hunt.
All deer hunts include:
* 2 to 1 guide situation
* Farmhouse lodging
* Breakfast, lunch, dinner
* Transportation during hunt
Not included:
* Taxidermy, trophy prep, meat processing
* 5.5% Nebraska sales tax
* Permits and stamps
* Transportation to camp (airport pickup
can be arranged for an additional charge)
* Shipping of bags, gear, trophies, etc. back
to your home. Cost to ship personal items
and trophies to you is $50 per package plus
shipping charges
Our hunts are very high success 80-100% from
year to year. That's not opportunity, but dead on
the ground, tag filled on a good buck success.
Bucks will average between 130 and 150
depending on the year and our top end is 190.

numbers of mature deer and yet the sky is the
limit on size for the hunter willing to pass up smaller bucks!
Whether you are looking for a Nebraska archery whitetail hunt, a Nebraska Muzzleloader whitetail hunt or
a Nebraska rifle whitetail hunt, you've come to the right place for Nebraska deer hunting at its finest.
For more detail on our trophy whitetail hunts, please go to the page for the weapon you hunt with.
While many areas, due to nutritional factors, poor
age structure or too high of deer density, have
limited upside potential for big bucks, it's nice to
hunt in areas known for producing world class
whitetails. Here, the outfitter's daughter shows off a
skull from a buck we caught on trail cam in 2005 on
one of our leases. While the average bucks we
harvest will be in the 130-150 class, every year we
will harvest some truly jaw-dropping gagger bucks.
Archery Deer Hunts
Nebraska is definitely a sleeper state for big
bucks, but you still have to hunt in the right area
and with folks who know how to do it. Archery
deer hunting in Nebraska can be a very
rewarding and successful hunt if done right. We
started in 1991 by offering bowhunting only for
whitetail deer. These hunts remain our specialty.
Most of our properties are either bought or leased
with bowhunting in mind. The high game
densities of the Missouri, Niobrara and Keha
Paha rivers as well as various oak filled creek
bottoms create an exceptional bowhunting
opportunity for hunting Nebraska's trophy
whitetails. We are avid bowhunters ourselves
and have a long history of putting hunters on
trophy whitetails. So whether you are looking for
a September feeding trail type bow hunt, or an
early November pre-rut hunt, a tremendous
Nebraska archery whitetail hunt awaits you..
We offer a two buck limit on our archery deer
hunt. We don't have any minimum buck size.
You shoot what is a trophy to you. We simply
ask that on the two buck limit hunt that your
second buck be larger than your first.

If you are tired of bowhunting in areas that just
aren't producing quality whitetails for you, you
need to call us to arrange a Nebraska archery
whitetail hunt for you. Book Now!
Season dates: September 15-December 31
excluding the 9 day gun season in mid-November.
Muzzleloader whitetail Hunts
Our Muzzleloader hunts occur in December, with
second cycle rut peaking about December 11th.
This hunt is very weather dependent. If it’s cold
and snowy the hunting is excellent. If it is mild, it
can be slow.
Therefore we suggest you plan your muzzleloader
hunt as late in December as you can in hopes of
good weather (cold and snowy) to force deer
yarding and to force nocturnal, resting post rut
bucks into a feeding pattern during daylight hours. Otherwise, time your hunt around December 11th in
hopes of picking up some second cycle rut action.
If you are a smokepole shooter too, give us a call and we'll discuss a Nebraska whitetail hunt for you!

more, the
Nebraska
deer hunting
season is
timed to
coincide with
the peak of
the rut, so you
get a very
rare
opportunity to
rifle hunt when the bucks are chasing does, fighting, etc and our
semi open country gives you the opportunity to see all of this which
makes for not only a successful hunt, but also a very exciting one.
Our part of Nebraska is unlike the rest of the state, with several
major rivers converging into the area creating diverse riparian and
agricultural habitats which set the stage for great bucks and
memorable hunting.
Most of our hunting will occur out of box blinds, comfortable ladder
stands, or pop up blinds. This is the best way to fool a mature animal
in our area.
Our rifle season is short, only 9 days, in mid-November. We conduct
two, four day rifle hunts during that time. They are highly successful
being a peak rut rifle hunt. Since it is a short season, it is also very
limited in availability, so if you want in on this one, you need to give
us a call.
Merriams Turkey World famous turkey hunts
Since 1991 we have been providing ridiculously high success rate Merriam’s turkey hunts to our guests.
With so many hunters traveling to complete Grand, Royal and World slams, our camps have become the
most popular and successful camps for hunters in search of a Merriam’s turkey.
More hunters have harvested their Merriam turkey
at the Outfitter's camps than any other turkey
camp in the U.S.
Our success rate has been so good that we
started guaranteeing our spring shotgun turkey
hunts. We want you to know that this is no
ordinary turkey hunt. Not only are you going to
experience exceptional hospitality, plenty of elbow
room on 70,000 acres, scenic properties, and
excellent meals and accommodations, but you are
also going to have plenty of opportunity to harvest
your gobbler!
This guaranteed turkey hunt has caused quite a
fuss. We've had hunters and outfitters call us to
ask us why or how we can make such a
guarantee. The fact is, we can make that
guarantee because of our tremendous bird

numbers. Time and time again our guests
comment that they've never seen or heard so many turkeys and didn't know that such a turkey hunting
Mecca existed.
When choosing a date to hunt, keep a couple of things in mind. In April the birds have not completely
split up so you will be hunting near large numbers of birds. Therefore the use of a blind, which we
provide, will be necessary in many cases. The reason for this is that in April you have a lot of birds around
you most of the time, which makes it nearly impossible to sit perfectly still long enough to let the birds that
you don't want to shoot, pass by and your gobbler come into range. Remember, when you start calling
during this time of year it is not uncommon to have groups of jakes of up to 20 or more come in on you
while the gobbler struts and displays for just out of range. You need the flock to pass by without putting, in
order to get your gobbler. Not all setups in April are this way, but a lot of them are. Additionally, the calling
in April is light flock type calling. You are mostly calling to the flock and not an individual gobbler. In May,
however, the flocks have completely split up and the hunting changes dramatically. This is a good time for
an active hunter to hunt with us. Traditional locate calling, walking, and cut and run techniques become
more common. Quite simply, if you are a patient hunter, patient caller, you'll love April and the fantastic
gobbling and bird densities you'll experience. If you are not so patient and like to stretch your legs more,
May will suit you better. Many folks like to come hunting with us at the same time every year, while others
like to come in April one year and May the next, to experience a different type of hunting technique.
Additionally, some hunters fall in love with a certain camp and rebook that camp every year, while others
like to change camps every year.
The only crowd's you'll find in Nebraska
is crowds of Turkeys.
Home of the guaranteed turkey hunt
"If you do not get a shot opportunity at a mature gobbler while on a spring shotgun turkey hunt
with us, you come back, on us for a one bird hunt within two years."
How can we possibly make such a guarantee?
Well, the fact is we would not be able to if it weren't for the fact that we probably have the highest
turkey density in the Nation! In fact, since 1991 we have only had to bring back 1 hunter out of nearly
1000 of the guests that we've hosted in all of our camps.
We simply have an incredible number of birds!! All of the photos you see on this site are taken on our
leases.
In order for us to make such a solid guarantee to our turkey hunters, our guests simply have to do their
part by abiding by a few common sense conditions:
1) You have to hunt a full three days. (If you have to leave early for some reason,
we cannot guarantee your hunt.)
2) You have to cooperate with your guide. (You have to hunt as your guide
suggests. That may mean sitting in a blind, or cutting into a cedar tree.)
3) You have to hunt separately. (Some folks request that they hunt together without
a guide present. We always try to accommodate those requests, but of course those
hunts will not be guaranteed since we do not offer, nor guarantee an unguided hunt)
4) Filmed hunts do not qualify for the guarantee. (We also have a video production
company and understand that capturing a successful hunt on film is almost exactly 4
times harder than simply harvesting an animal.)
That's it. Fair enough? There's nothing funny here, we just require that our guests do
their part by hunting hard.
Our Merriam’s turkey hunts in Nebraska are considered by many to be the very best turkey hunts
available today. Call us to complete the Merriam’s turkey leg of your grand slam!
