You will be met on arrival at the Colombo International Airport by our Acrus Travels
representative who will assist you with your luggage and guide you to your vehicle where your
personal chauffeur guide / guide await.
Transfer to the hotel on the way visit Negombo fish market and fishing village.

DAY 02
NGEOMBO – ANURADHAPURA (APPROX: 5 HRS)
PALM GARDEN VILLAGE
After breakfast check out and leave to Sri Lankan ancient capital of Anuradhapura- En route visit
to see the Yapahuwa ruins which is a royal residence in 13th century Yapahuwa was able to
preserve some interesting remains. While many traces of other ancient defences are still be seen,
an ornamental stairway remains it’s the main draw.

DAY 03
ANURADHAPURA
PALM GARDEN VILLAGE
After breakfast make a city tour to visit the ancient city of Anuradhapura, the first capital of Sri
Lanka founded in the 4th century BC. See the sacred Bo Tree, the oldest historically documented
tree in the world, Abayagiri monastery, which housed 5,000 monks and Jetavana Stupa, the
tallest stupa in the world. Afternoon visit the Mihintale rock, which is known as the cradle of
Buddhism in Sri Lanka

After breakfast check out and leave to Sri Lankan 2nd ancient capital of Polonnaruwa Thereafter,
city tour of Polonnaruwa. Visit the world famous rock-cut Buddha statues of Gal Vihara and the
Parakrama Samudra, (‘Sea of Parakrama') a 2,500-hectare man made reservoir built by King
Parakramabahu I (1153 –1186 AD) with a capacity of 134 million cubic meters.

POLONNARUWA – DAMBULLA (APPROX: 2

Following breakfast head out towards Dambulla. On the way visit Sigiriya rock fortress which
means Lion’s rock, is an ancient fortress made of rock in the Matale district of Sri Lanka. The
fortress is surrounded by the remains of an extensive network of gardens and other structures.
The place is part of the list of UNESCO World Heritage sites and is preserved due to its
significance in illustrating architecture and culture of the civilization during the time it was built
After visit Dambulla rock temple, the largest cave monastery in the country with a history going
back to the 1st century BC. . Being one of the largest cave shrines of South Asia, the five caves
cover more than 2000sq. meters of paintings of the late medieval style popularly known as
Kandyan art. The exhausting hill climb of the visitors will be richly rewarded by a visit to the
newly established Museum of Paintings. Ibbankatuwa, a Proto-historic site on the Dambulla –
Kurunagala Road, comes under the excavation programme of Dambulla Project and attract many
tourists

DAY 06
DAMBULLA - KANDY (APPROX: 3 HRS)

After having breakfast leave to the Sri Lanka’s hill capital- lake side city of Kandy. On the way
visit Matale spice Garden. Having visited to Kandy you will be taken to Peradeniya royal
Botanical garden evening make a short city tour to look Upper Lake, Kandy Lake, Spice Garden
and Kandy bazaar and you will be able to see the culture dance performance

DAY 07
KANDY – NUWARA ELIYA (APPROX: 2 HRS)

Following day after breakfast, visit temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic of Lord Buddha This is the
most sacred temple to the Buddhists in the world after you will be taken to the train station at
Peradeniya where you will board on one of the most scenic train rides in the country. After the
ride your chauffeur will pick you up from the station at Nanu Oya.

After arriving to Nuwara Eliya Make a short city tour to see the city. Visit a tea factory where the
process of tea producing and grading will be explained. You will also be able to taste a cup of
pure Ceylon tea in the factory

NUWARA ELIYA – GALLE VIA KITULGALA (APPROX: 7

After breakfast at hotel drive to Galle travel through a beautiful landscape & see the widest
waterfall of Sri Lanka, “St.Clair”. Enjoy the rich nature. Make a brief stop at the Tea Kiosk
passing the “Devon” waterfall. Drive through Kitulgala where the Oscar winning movie “Bridge
on the River Kwai” was filmed. Make a visit to a rubber plantation see the rubber manufacturing
process

DAY 08
GALLE – SINHARAJA RAIN FOREST - GALLE

With packed breakfast leave for a trekking at Sinharaja rain forest which will be approximately 3
hours. On completion return to the hotel in Galle
Sinharaja is the only “UNESCO World Heritage Site” Rain Forest in Sri Lanka, with a very high
rate of hectares and it will spend nearly 3hrs to reach to Sinharaja after you could take a guided
walking tour of the Rain forest. SINHARAJA RAIN FOREST RESERVE - Sinharaja is the only
“UNESCO World Heritage Site” Rain Forest in Sri Lanka, with a very high rate of bio-diversity.
The vegetation is tropical wet evergreen forest and the area under the reserve is 11,187 hectares.
Sinharaja is the only relatively undisturbed rain forest of any considerable size and many of the
plants are very rare and are represented by only one individual of its kind in a large area.
Sinharaja can be reached from Colombo via Matugama (174 km) or Rathnapura (154 km) to
Kalawana, Weddagala and up to Kudawa Base Camp. From Galle to Deniyaya and Mederpitiya
(10 km) and from there to Pitadeniya Camp and enter the Reserve from the Southern side of the
country

After breakfast at hotel make a ½ day excursion to Hikkaduwa Visit Mask Factory & Moon
Stone Mine and after you could make a Glass bottom boat ride to see the underwater world after
visit Galle Dutch fort and later return back to the hotel

DAY 10
GALLE – COLOMBO (APPROX: 2 HRS)

After breakfast leave to Colombo En route visit Turtle Hatchery which is a Projects have been
launched to conserve the population of turtles that are reaching extinction and such projects are
found along the southern coast of Sri Lanka where turtles come ashore to lay their eggs. The
turtle digs a hole on the Beach, Lays hers eggs and covers it with sand where it is supposed to;
incubate by the heat of the sun.
Thereafter continue journey to Colombo. Having arrived to Colombo make a city tour. Visit the
Museum, old Parliament, the residential areas and the BMICH (Bandaranaike Memorial
International Conference Hall), a Hindu Kovil, a Buddhist Temple, Observing the Galle Face
Green and visit Fort Bazaar and do some shopping in Colombo
