In 2006, there were 3,995 jobs in North Grenville, and an employed resident labour force of 7,595, indicating that North Grenville was a net “exporter” of at least 3,600 employees. The net export/import calculation is simply the number of jobs in each of North Grenville's industries minus the number of North Grenville's residents working in that particular industry. It is important to note that the export/import numbers indicated under-represent the actual numbers of employees, as this calculation assumes all of the employed resident labour force in that industry works in North Grenville. The size of the North Grenville employed resident labour force exceeds the jobs available in almost all industry sectors in North Grenville except educational services.
