A visit to a forgotten past on St Croix the former Danish West Indies gave inspiration to the collection. Many lives and stories are told on museums on the island, stories and lives of Danish planters and former unfree.
The Caribbean atmosphere of today, the shape and beauty of the St Croix hook bracelet and a
fusion of silhouettes from the former cultures became the Foundation of the collection.
Envision a light yet heavy interpretation of a forgotten and dark history that has been transformed into a rich detailed collection of sharp vertical lines combined with soft curves in cuttings - all in light whites.
Sheer cottons and viscoses breathe the air of the
Caribbean. Structured and heavy fixed fabrics
have been carved around the essence of the planters, while loose-fitted silhouettes and frayed details whisper the hardship of the unfree at the
turn of the previous centur y.
