On Tuesday we had a wonderful Book Character Parade in the hall. Thank you to everyone from Kindergarten to Year 6 and the staff for getting into the spirit of the day. Thank you to the parents and grandparents who helped put together such creative costumes. It is lovely when all children have the chance to be involved. Everyone looked marvellous! Go to our website to see the photos in colour – thank you to our wonderful photographer of the day, Mrs Hall. Another thank you goes to Mrs Anderson who coordinated the lovely morning tea to raise money as part of Pink Ribbon Day. Thank you also to the many families and staff who contributed to the morning tea. It was great to finish off the day with parents and family visiting our classrooms and the Book Trivia Quiz in the afternoon. Yesterday we welcomed our new Kindergarten students for 2015. It was the first of their orientation visits. Mrs McLaren organised a wonderful session for these future students of Goulburn East. Thank you to both Mrs McLaren and Mrs Moss for their preparation and enthusiasm, and also to Mrs Peden who presented a session to the parents in the library while the students were in the classroom having fun. Some of our senior students welcomed both current and new parents at the gate and they impressed our visitors with their courtesy and genuine enthusiasm for our school. Thank you very much to those students for promoting our school in such a positive way. Our Book Fair has been on in the library throughout this week, closing tomorrow afternoon at 4pm. Mrs Peden has worked tirelessly to make this event run smoothly. Thank you to all staff, students and families for making this such a great place to be! These wonderful things don’t just magically happen. Charmian Cribb PRINCIPAL Giant Toy Raffle Many thanks to all those students who bought tickets in the Giant Toy Raffle to help with the Sydney Excursion cost for Years 5 and 6.
