Federico Maddalozzo Selected Works 2016-2006
Federico Maddalozzo Selected Works 2016-2006 Meine Welt Neue Welt The core of the project is the car as model of economic growth and social change and relating evolution and optimisation of production and maintenance systems in the car fields. This works are a sort of archeological findings of paint taken from tools and structures used to re-paint the car bodies in repair shops, and whose layers have gathered over decades. The “objects” are re-contextualised on new raw aluminium tubes. 46°00’01.5”N 12°37’44.0”E_from 1999 to 2014 ca._#03 2015_findings of varnish from car shops, aluminium 60 x 6 x 4 cm 46°00’01.5”N 12°37’44.0”E_from 1999 to 2014 ca._#01 2015_findings of varnish from car shops, aluminium 30 x 6 x 4 cm 46°00’01.5”N 12°37’44.0”E_from 1999 to 2014 ca._#02 2015_findings of varnish from car shops, aluminium 50 x 6 x 4 cm Sundays is a reflection on car tuning using wrapping film, a recent improvement in the car body sector for re-paint and change cars colours or customisation. I’m interested in the idea of how industrial objects change shape, for example after an accident, a car after a crash. The matte metallic colours easily emphasise the sculptural shape of a crashed fender.
