Meter Indicating Volume / SingleMag
Application: Approved for use as a domestic water meter (105 °F max-Blue Ring) or (160 °F max-Red Ring) in legal sub-metering
installations. The flow direction indications are cast into the body of the meter.
Identification: The NMT logo, NSF-61-G, gallon unit of measure, pulse and flow specifications, serial number, and the model
SingleMag are printed on the register face. The NTEP CC number is permanently marked on the side of the meter.
Sealing: The meter can be sealed with a wire security seal threaded through a hole in the red or blue register ring and through a hole in
the external threaded spud inlet or outlet. The factory seal uses the same sealing provisions and should be left in place for warranty
purposes.
Operation: This is a velocity-type meter where in-flowing water, distributed by a single jet, flows past an impeller in the measuring
chamber, creating an impeller velocity directly proportional to water velocity. The meter’s register interprets the velocity into total
flow indicated in a volumetric gallon unit of measure.
Test Conditions: Three SingleMag meters were submitted for evaluation. The meters were mounted in line on a gravimetric water
meter test bench in a lab at the manufactures facility. The meters were subjected to three tests each at the maximum, intermediate, and
minimum flow rates. After successful initial testing, an excess of 205 000 gallons of hot water flowed through the meters. The
emphasis of the evaluation was on the device design, marking requirements, accuracy, and repeatability of the meter and the tested
temperature range of 45 °F to 152 °F maximum. All tests were then repeated.
Results of the evaluation indicate the devices comply with applicable requirements.
Evaluated By: J. Roach (CA)
Type Evaluation Criteria Used: NIST Handbook 44 Specifications, Tolerances, and Other Technical Requirements for Weighing
and Measuring Devices, 2012 Edition. NCWM Publication 14 Measuring Devices, 2012 Edition.
Conclusion: The results of the evaluation and information provided by the manufacturer indicate the device complies with applicable
requirements.

EN5000 Repeater
This sophisticated line-powered 900 MHz repeater receives, decodes, and
re-transmits signals from Inovonics Wireless EchoStream® series transmitters.
The EN5000 acts as a “range expander” for any Inovonics Wireless
EchoStream transmission that it “hears”, allowing the Inovonics Wireless
installation to scale from smaller commercial sites to large campuses
with several buildings. It includes an on-board, state-of-the-art, lithium-ion
battery. For applications that require protection for the EN5000 from
environmental elements, it may be placed in an outdoor weatherproof
enclosure (ACC640).
Advantages
i Easy to install. Just mount and plug in. No wires or programming required, though registration is
required for a fully supervised system.
i Reliable. Supervises for low battery, loss of line power, case tamper, and jam detection (interference on all
channels is greater than 30 seconds). Also includes an on-board lithium-ion battery, which:
- Provides backup with no additional expense.
- Offers up to 24 hours of continuous operation when line power is not available.
- Reports loss of power when programmed/supervised to slave receiver.
i Expandable. Several “layers” of repeaters can be employed to provide coverage of large facilities, multi-story
buildings, or sites with multiple buildings.
i Efficient. Incorporates sophisticated signal management, preventing “ping-pong” messages and maximizes
reliability.

RDL8500 - Remote data logger
The RDL8500 is a data logger for the TapWatch submetering system.
The RDL8500 interfaces to the wireless network for collection of utility
consumption data, stores the collected data, and transfers the data to a
remote billing server for bill generation. A PC running TapWatch 3
software is used to access the RDL8500. The RDL8500 communicates
with both Frequency Agile (FA) and EchoStream wireless networks
simultaneously, enabling the expansion of previously installed FA sites
with EchoStream hardware.
Why Inovonics Wireless is Best
The Inovonics Commercial Mesh Network has been specifically developed
for commercial applications to provide the most cost-effective solution for
a wide range of applications, while setting new standards for performance
and reliability in a wireless sensor network.
Reliability
Inovonics EchoStream 900MHz radio utilizes a unique frequency hopping,
spread spectrum technology to meet the demands of an increasingly
cluttered wireless world.
Flexibility
The flexibility of wireless is a necessity in today’s dynamic commercial
environments. The self-configuring EchoStream Commercial Mesh
Network allows you to adapt to changing floor plans and requirements in
a matter of minutes. New sensors can be added to the network as fast as
they can be mounted.
Scalability
The EchoStream Commercial Mesh Network’s backbone of intelligent
repeaters can extend coverage to thousands of sensors across entire
commercial campuses.
