The Trojan - Wagon Mound Public Schools
‘The Trojan’ Volume 90 Issue 4 Superintendent’s News The school district recently installed surveillance cameras in different places throughout the campus. These cameras will help provide security, and curtail ill doings from people that are looking for opportunities to create extra expenses or damage to the school district and cause a financial burden to our community tax payers. As I part ways and begins my life as a former/retired educator I would like to extend my gratitude to all my former and present board members who have provided me with the opportunity to serve the students , parents ,community , and staff from this great school district. I would like to start by welcoming Mrs. Sheryl McNellis Martinez who was hired recently as the new Superintendent/Principal for the Wagon Mound Schools. She will begin leading the district July 1st. Mrs. NcNellis Martinez has worked for the district before and my hope is that she will bring her A game to the district and serve the district to the best of her ability. A welcome also for Mrs. Tammie Avent who was appointed to serve in the vacant board member position #3. She will serve for two years until the next scheduled board election. Mrs. Avent is the parent of Maisen a fifth grade student at WMES. I have truly enjoyed the 34 years I have served in different capacities of education. The years I have served in Wagon Mound have been very gratifying and I will always cherish the experiences and memories made here. It is my wish that I have served you well and that I left a better school district than the one I first started with 14 years ago. May you continue to experience success and prosper in every way possible.
