Cape Marine and Offshore Division 12 Asia Pacific Rim Offshore Cape Marine and Offshore Division The extensive expertise of our Cape Marine and Offshore Division spans the full spectrum of environmentally-compliant UHP water jetting, abrasive blasting, containment, surface preparation, and coating application services. Painting, coating and blasting Other surface preparation services Cape’s track record is largely derived from working in some of the most hostile environments on earth. This experience means Cape thoroughly understands what it takes to successfully deliver solutions for the huge range of surface preparation and coating requirements that arise in shipyards, fabrication facilities, LNG plants and offshore oil and gas facilities. Our experts evaluate every brief on a lifecycle cost basis, ensuring that our solutions are both intelligently designed and cost-effective. •Abrasive Medium Blasting (Wet & Dry) Fireproofing With decades of experience in the application of structural fireproofing systems, our highly trained personnel are experts at providing technical and design advice from project planning right through to construction. The fireproofing techniques we offer include cementitious spray, fibrous sprays, fire cladding and intumescent coatings. •Tungsten Removal (Aluminum Oxide) • Steel Passivation (Glass Bead) •Soda Blasting •Mechanical Tool Preparation Coating preservation •Hand Application & Stripe Coating •Conventional & Airless Spray •Plural Component Pump •Metal Arc Spray (Aluminum & Zinc) Inspection services •NACE/ACA Condition Surveys •Commercial Diving Inspection •QA/QC Ultra High Pressure Water Jetting Hazardous area equipment Cape uses revolutionary NLB surface preparation robots to quickly, safely and cleanly remove old coatings from the substrate surface via vacuum and travels as directed by a UHP Technician via remote control. The SRT10W is environmentally-friendly, collecting 100% of the used water, removed coatings and rust. The coatings and used water are captured in a recovery vessel and disposed of IAW with local government regulations. Finished surfaces are left dry and immediately ready for coatings application. We also offer the open lance method of water blasting via a hand held water jetting lance which is directed at the substrate. This method of water blasting may require some type of containment or barrier to collect and recover the resultant debris and water for disposal. •Calder multijet Zone 1 electric IECEx / ATEX compliant unit •Calder multijet Zone 2 IECEx / ATEX compliant •Calder Zone 2 IECEx / ATEX vacuum units Decontamination services •HP Power Washing •LP Power Washing •Hot Water Washing & De-Greasing •Heat Exchanger Tube Cleaning •Pipeline Pigging •Lead Paint & Toxic Paint Removal •Vacuum Recovery (Trucks •Marine Growth Removal Our highly-skilled operational personnel, work closely with you to design and manage your project, utilising advanced technology to achieve the most appropriate solution 14 Asia Pacific Rim Offshore Chemical cleaning Cape’s highly experienced qualified chemists, chemical engineers, project managers and trained operatives solve issues and deliver customised chemical cleaning and decontamination services, particularly to the oil, gas and power generation industries. We use a wide range of cleaning agents and chemicals, including our own proprietary formulations. Heat exchangers – PCHE cleaning We can descale heat exchangers and associated pipework utilising specialist chemical formulations designed for the offshore sector. The removal of hydrocarbon or scale fouling to regain full operational efficiency by means of chemical circulation, sometimes at temperature, has proven very successful. The circulation pumps are easily connected to the exchangers, thus little preparation or dismantling is required. Decontamination We offer liquid phase decontamination, using proprietary chemicals to remove organics from inside pipes, vessels and exchangers. Our chemical technologies separate contaminants from solids and water to reduce, and in some cases eliminate entirely, third-party waste disposal charges cost effectively. High air flow vacuum services Cape offers comprehensive high air flow vacuum services for offshore operations on critical path shutdowns and day-to-day cleaning operations. We have a large workforce, experienced at managing tasks effectively and efficiently, using the best equipment and techniques in the industry. Online de-sanding SyphonVac avoids having to shutdown simply to remove solids from a separator vessel, thus enhancing revenues and profitability. Typically we use SyphonVac to remove sand while the vessel is in full production, cutting deferral costs and reducing the cleaning operation of a critical path shutdown. It also reduces sand carry over to process systems. SyphonVac is compact, for use in offshore locations, and reduces the risk of manpower needing to enter confined spaces. Offline vessel cleaning SludgeVac offers rapid degassing of vessels, and can remove all solids and liquids in less time than it takes to prepare vessels for man entry cleaning - transferring up to 10 tonnes an hour. The considerable time-savings can either increase the amount of work possible during a shutdown, or can reduce the shutdown times significantly. Industrial cleaning offshore Cape provides leading innovative industrial cleaning and decontamination services for process pipework, tanks and vessels Process pipework From a single access point, Aquadril can clean up to 300m of pipework, including directional changes and vertical sections, without the need for dismantling. It removes scale and debris using high-pressure water jetting, reducing downtime and overall job costs, and is suitable for all pipe diameters and most pipe materials. The system can also completely contain hazardous waste. Cape’s Supergun system is suitable for nonproduction pipework cleaning and descaling online. Pressure vessels and tanks Removing product, by-product or corrosion can result in maximised capacity, increased throughput and better production levels, and therefore greater cost-effectiveness. We can offer unrivalled experience and expertise in tank and vessel cleaning. Environmentally-safe internal caisson cleaning Our environmentally-safe caisson cleaning system, Torpedo, can operate below water level to remove all scale and marine growth from the caisson interior and bring it to deck level for disposal. This prevents environmental contamination of the seabed or debris being sucked into the lift pumps on adjacent caissons. FPSO cargo tank cleaning Using efficient high-head lift pumping equipment, and low and highpressure water jetting, we can clean cargo tanks and slop oil tanks quickly and safely before inspection and repair operations. Cold cutting We use a combination of highpressure water with abrasive garnet to create a powerful tool for the cold cutting of steel, concrete and other composite materials. With no significant heat generation, this is a safe, effective and convenient alternative to hot cutting, ideal for cutting operations in potentially hazardous locations alongside live plant.
