As the number of programs participants grew, so did the need for space. In 1989, the support of generous donors and volunteers enabled us to construct our current 22,000 square foot complex on Overland Court in Grafton. Today, the Ozaukee Interurban Trail is a 30-mile paved trail that spans the entire length of Ozaukee County.The majority of the Trail is off-road and perfect for family enjoyment. RESALE SHOPPE The store provides an opportunity for Family Sharing clients to shop for necessities at no charge, and offers a low-price shopping alternative for the community. Proceeds from the Resale Shoppe are an on-going fundraiser for the organization. Start from either Olsen’s Piggly Wiggly in Cedarburg or Godin’s Piggly Wiggly in Mequon. Enjoy a scenic 5-mile walk on the Interurban Trail. Buses will be in both parking lots to take walkers back to their original starting point at no charge from 9:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. $25.00 per family (children 5 and under are free). Seeking to help those less fortunate sustain a respectable quality of life, we began providing food and household goods from the Grafton home garage of our founder. FUNDING Family Sharing’s main source of income is derived from monetary donations provided by Ozaukee County residents and organizations, as well as sales revenue from the Family Sharing Resale Shoppe. United Way and the Greater Milwaukee Foundation also provide key support. REGISTRATION FORM B.J. WHOM WE SERVE Family Sharing clients are comprised of the working poor, unemployed, elderly and mentally and physically disabled residents of Ozaukee County. Approximately 43% of the individuals served by Family Sharing are under the age of eighteen; and 38% of those who receive our help are age 65 and over.To qualify for services, residents must meet the current designated federal poverty level guidelines.
