between ages 15-18
About HKU CSE
Now in its 13th year, HKU Crimson Summer Exchange
(HKU CSE) is a summer programme in which a group
of Fellows comprised of students mainly from
Harvard, Yale, MIT, Princeton, Cambridge and Oxford
Universities deliver self-designed lesson plans to
secondary school students from Hong Kong,
Mainland China and overseas.
The main objective of HKU CSE is to encourage
intellectual and cultural exchange amongst all
participants using English as the medium of
communication.
Reasons to join HKU CSE
1.
Learning experience beyond the normal classroom
through direct personal interactions in a small group
setting of about 12 students with overseas native
English speaking Fellow / HKU Fellow
2. Content of curriculum aims at and will cover:

Information on University admissions and student
lives in universities both overseas and in Hong
Kong

English communication, social, leadership and
learning skills

Cultural exchanges and friendship building

Learning through proactive participation in case
studies and project presentations

To inspire and be inspired by peers and Fellows/
HKU Fellows
Programme Details
Date: July 25—August 5, 2016
Time: 10:00—17:00
Venue: The University of Hong Kong (HKU)
Programme Fee: HK$11,600 (Residential Programme)
HK$7,000 (Day Programme)
* Programme fee includes tuition, field trips, and social and cultural events.
* Financial Assistance is available to students with demonstrated need (Applicable for local students
applying for Hong Kong Programme only)

Programme Features:
Inspiring lessons in different aspects: Arts Appreciation / Environment, Health
and the World / Humans and Society / Globalisation and Culture / Language,
Literature and Writing / Leadership and Effective Communication
 Participate in HKU traditions, such as High Table Dinner
 Organized field trips and social activities
Eligibility:  Ages between 15 - 18
 Possess good English listening and speaking skills
 Be willing to participates actively in group discussions
 Be able to think critically and express his/her views
Application: 1. Application Due: March 31, 2016 (Overseas Applicants)
April 30, 2016 (Local Applicants)
(All applications will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis.)
2. Interview: Applicants may be invited for individual telephone interview during
March – June 2016
3. Offer will be made on a rolling basis from March 2016 onwards

