DEUTSCHE WERKSTaTTEN Lütgenhof Castle Hotel, Dassow Deutsche Werkstätten services:Interior design, interior furnishing, manufacture of freestanding furniture, outfitting of interiors with loose furniture Lütgenhof Castle is situated between Lübeck and Grevesmühlen in Dassow (Mecklenburg). As no two rooms in this castle hotel are designed the same, Deutsche Werkstätten Hellerau developed three harmonious colour themes to weave throughout the premises: the wall colours and materials in yellow, beige or green, setting off the uniformly white-stained spruce furniture. Attention was paid to superior quality in all the details, such as the wholly natural carpet in the rooms, which is made from an equal blend of virgin wool and goat hair. Armchairs, chairs and sofas all came from Italy whilst Deutsche Werkstätten Hellerau designed and constructed the cupboards, beds, nightstands, desks, minibar/TV units and luggage racks exclusively for Lütgenhof Castle. Above all, the client aspired to timeless elegant design instead of superficial decorative pomposity. One particular highlight are the beds, likewise in three variants, perfectly assimilated into their respective areas. Depending on the room, a guest can snuggle into a modern canopy bed, a bed with a stunning upholstered headboard, or a wooden bed with painted legs and headboard. No two rooms are alike in the Lütgenhof Castle Hotel. The respective wall colours and selected materials blend beautifully with the white-stained spruce furniture. The furnishings and appointments, designed and constructed exclusively for Lütgenhof Castle by Deutsche Werkstätten Hellerau, are utterly without pretension. The lobby features a sit-down reception desk for the comfort of its guests. In consciously shunning a reception counter, it thus becomes clear with one—s first step through the door that the hotel—s entire focus is on providing individual, personal attention to its guests. For this reason, the computer was also integrated into the desk itself, its monitor concealed by the tabletop—s glass. The castle—s restaurant provides a beautiful view of the surrounding scenery as the subtle yellow tones of the furnishings emulate the sunlight wafting in from the large windows. The chandeliers are modern replicas of the actual originals. For the hotel lounge, Deutsche Werkstätten Hellerau created the bar and back-bar. Italian-made armchairs and side tables as well as window shades and exquisite silk decorations make this lounge just as luxurious as it is cosy.
