In any case students need to contact the International Relations Office of their home university. We only accept applications sent by the International Relations Office of the home university. The application consists of the following documents: - Application form Recommendation Letter of the International Relations Office or of an academic advisor Confirmation of matriculation at the home university Copy of Transcript of Records Learning Agreement and/or Study Plan CV Motivation Letter Copy of Passport Passport-sized Photograph Proof of Proficiency in German at level B2/C1 Confirmation of sufficient personal funding GERMAN LANGUAGE REQUIREMENT Courses are instructed in German. Nominated students are expected to have a standard of proficiency in German at the level B2/C1 (according to the Common European Framework CEFR). The personal insurance must also cover accidents (including accidents on the campus of the University of Applied Sciences Rapperswil). The University of Applied Sciences Rapperswil does not take out insurance for students. In addition to a medical and accident insurance students should buy a private liability insurance which covers any damage inflicted by them on other persons or their property. ENTRY TO SWITZERLAND Please consult the Swiss embassy or consulate in your country for the current entry requirements and contact the International Relations Office as the need arises. The International Relations Office will assist exchange-students from non-EU countries in organizing their visa. To do so, they must register at the administration office of the local municipality. Students are requested to contact the International Relations Office before registering at the administration office of the local municipality. The International Office will give detailed information on how to apply for the residence permit.
