Band Info
NOISEAUX (französische Aussprache: [nwazo:]) ist der Name der
musikalischen Unternehmungen der deutsch-französischen Künstlerin und
Aktivistin Noah Sow, mit verschiedenen Mitwirkenden.
NOISEAUX steht in der ersten Reihe der globalen Afropunk-Szene. Durch
große Bühnenpräsenz und mithilfe ihrer eigenen Mischung aus Punk,
Jazz, Elektro und Chanson durchbricht NOISEAUX gängige Vorstellungen
davon, was Punk und Pop ist. Noah Sow mischte bereits seit 2002 die
Ostküste der USA auf, wo sie als Mitglied des New Yorker
Alternativekollektivs Anarchists of Color rockte. Deren Motto:
„Disgrace Your Stereotype“.
In der Tradition von Künstlern, die darum kämpfen, mit Konventionen
zu brechen, bringt Noah Sow die Musik und die Message ins heimische
Deutschland und nach ganz Europa.
Das musikalische Kollektiv NOISEAUX bildete sich 2008. Zu Beginn
arbeiteten Frontfrau Noah Sow und ein paar Typen an der Umsetzung des
Mottos „reclaim Rock!“. Ihr Debut-Album „Out Now!“ wurde als DoppelCD in Deutsch und Englisch veröffentlicht.
Seit 2012 spielt NOISEAUX ihr eigenes Genre: AFROPUNK CHANSON.
Die Premiere ihrer spektakulären neuen Show feierten sie im Februar
und März 2012 auf einer Europa-Tour zusammen mit den 24-7 Spyz.
Dieser Band dankte Noah Sow sogar in ihrem Buch. (Ja, sie ist auch
Autorin. Ihr Buch „Deutschland Schwarz Weiß. Der alltägliche
Rassismus“ ist bereits ein Klassiker für die Analyse von
strukturellem Rassismus in Deutschland).
