GENERAL FOOTGOLF RULES
AND CLOTHING REGULATIONS
1.Each player should have a ball that is easily identifiable (colour,
marking)!
2. The ball must be played in a SINGLE MOVEMENT. Each time the
ball is touched will count as a stroke.
3. The ball must be played from the ground and from a stationary
position. If the ball is moved by the wind, it must then be played
from the spot in which it came to a standstill. This does not,
however, apply to the tee. If it is touched by other players or by
another ball, it must be brought back to its original position.
4. You may play your tee shot from up to two metres behind
the front line of the starting tee markers and the ball may be
placedwithin this area as desired. The player who has «the
honour» of commencing the hole, also determines the starting
order. For the subsequent holes, the player with the best score
on the previous holes will have thehonour. The player with the
second-best score will play next and so on. After all players have
taken their shots, the player whose ball is furthest away from
hole will take the next shot.
5. As a general rule, the ball will be played from where it is resting.
Moving obstacles, which are blocking the ball or are obstructing
the approach or shot may be removed carefully, without
disturbing the ball. If a ball is obstructing another player›s shot,
its location can be marked and it can be picked up, however, it
must be replaced after the shot has been taken.
6. If a ball gets stuck in a water hazard (indicated by red or yellow
stakes), the player may:
a) retake the shot as near as possible to the location where the
original ball was last played.
b) drop the ball at a suitable distance from the water hazard,
whereby the spot where the original ball last crossed the
margin of the water hazard must lie directly between the hole
and the place where the ball is dropped.
c) play the ball from the place where it is resting.
For options a) and b) the player incurs a one shot penalty.
7. A ball which is hit out of bounds (the area outside the boundaries
of play) must be dropped approximately where the shot was hit
out of bounds. The player also incurs a one shot penalty. The out
of bounds area is marked by white stakes.
8. Play continues until all players have completed the hole. Each
individual player›s total strikes are added up and entered on the
scorecard.
9.Teams who are under the influence of alcohol will be disqualified
and will forfeit their entry fee/room.
10. Fair Play!
The winning team is the team that completes all 18 holes with the
lowest number of strokes!
