What is left to say about Germany’s most successful gothic metal band who started back in 1991
and established the gothic metal genre with their second album back in 1994 after 20 years of a
breathtaking career?
It is very remarkable that CREMATORY became a worldwide highly acclaimed band not only
being successful in the German speaking countries. What followed were numerous interviews, TVand radio appearanes and hundreds of shows, where CREMATORY were celebrated by their fans
and the press and still are!
CREMATORY earned their status with hits like „Tears of time“, „Shadows of mine“, „Ist es wahr“,
„Fly“, „The Fallen“, „Greed“, „Tick Tack“, „Höllenbrand“, „Pray“, „Infinity“ or „Sense of time“, just to
name a few of their earcatchers. Also cover tunes like Sisters of Mercy´s „Temple of love“,
Metallica´s „One“, or Depeche Mode´s „Black Celebration“ proved CREMATORY’s abilities to
choose the right tracks for their interpretations.
Nevertheless the band impressingly shows for 20 years that the hit factory CREMATORY without
the shadow of a doubt is still going with full force after such a long career.
On the peak of their musical works and after 20 years of history for the first time a real „Greatest
hits“ double CD and DVD with all their hits, video clips, live shows and numerous private
backstage film material never before seen was created entitled “Black Pearls”
CREMATORY matured musically step by step from album to album and never were afaid to add
new ideas and inspriation to their songs which kept the band intersting and modern.
Lyrically and vocally CREMATORY always used both English and German lyrics. The vocal
splitting between Felix and Mattias – their duel between death growls and clean vocals – have
become a trade mark which will be kept and continously perfectionized.
CREMATOY unleash musical fireworks with their hits and earcatchers teaming with heavy riffing,
pounding drums, catchy keyboards and smashing samples. CREMATORY always deliver high
quality songs which is impressinlgy proved by the greatest hits album “Black Pearls”
The band is currently booking their greatest hits European tour under the banner „Black Pearls
over Europe“ followed by many festival appearances in the summer and completed by the 2nd
part of the European tour in the fall and winter.
