These collections confirm Antolini’s position as the industry’s leader in technology, innovation and design. Antolini is also showing a mini-collection: limited edition furnishing accessories – solid stone washbasins, coffee tables and cachepots that are part of the Marble Drops line of the Sir/A Collection designed by Alessandro La Spada. Exclusive Materials Antolini knows how and where to find natural stones anywhere in the world. And, thanks to the company’s skill in highlighting the materials’ best features, it can offer the market many exclusive types of uniquely beautiful granite, onyx and marble. Natura Collection The Natura Collection is an Antolini exclusive created to enhance natural stone and present it in an entirely unique and original way. The patterns evoke nature, the plant kingdom and a wealth of exotic or native woods in elegant geometric, leaf and plant motif surface decorations that are perfect for floors or walls. At Marmomacc 2013, Antolini presents Flamingo Design, the new pattern designed by Alessandro La Spada, which along with Magnolia Design, Atlantis Design and Mangrove Design strengthens this collection’s already important role. Exclusive processes that can draw out all of the materials’ natural potential through textures and patterns trigger unique emotions. One special Antolini technique makes it possible to incise patterns with maximum precision to create infinite optical effects. Antolini also presents new finishes for the Texture+ line, the collection that reveals all of the stone’s potential by creating original surface textures. Antolini Luigi_press '13 Woodstone Antolini presents new patterns in the Woodstone Collection, Wewood and Herringbone, that complement the Freewood motifs unveiled in 2012. Woodstone is a collection that makes it possible to enhance any room or setting with sophisticated and one-of-a-kind solutions. Woodstone offers an infinite variety of designs that can be creating simply by exploiting the features of the stone, using different size pieces and arranging them to bring out their natural beauty. The Wewood pattern is a sort of weave that combines different forms and finishes. The rectangular pieces have a lether finish while the squares come with a polished finish. The Herringbone pattern is exactly what it name says: the individual pieces, that are available in lether or polished finishes, are set at 90° angles creating a herringbone motif. Freewood is characterized by the strips that are combined and arranged in always different combinations recreating and reinventing atmospheres that have long been considered the exclusive prerogative of hardwood floors. The strips are all 12 cm wide, but lengths vary from a minimum of 50 cm to a maximum of 100 cm. This is what makes it possible to create new and unique patterns all the time. The Woodstone Collection pieces can be used to create countless elegant and linear geometric effects. Precioustone Over 100 types of precious stones comprise Precioustone, the top-of-the-line collection for interior design applications. Amethyst, quartz, agate and jasper, stones used to make jewelry, become the star players in interior design applications from wall-cladding to decorations. All Antolini Precioustone slabs are FULL MINERAL BODY, this means that each slab is gemstone through and through. Antolini is also the only firm that makes XL size slabs (315 x 190 cm). Some of the minerals used in the Precioustone collection are translucent, this makes the slabs suitable for backlighting to create striking and highly original chromatic and artistic effects. Antolini Luigi_press '13 Sir/A - by Alessandro La Spada Antolini proudly presents new complements of the Marble Drop. The Sir/A Collection born of an encounter: between artistry and craftsmanship, passion and vision, research and exclusivity. Sir/A is a new journey aimed at discovering all the potential of natural stone that Alberto Antolini and Alessandro La Spada have embarked upon together. A journey down creative roads, with Antolini in the guise of Lord of Marble; he who discovers, loves, knows and works this fascinating material in a completely unique way. A limited edition of hand crafted articles whose material speaks the same language, conceived to enhance the labours of a man who likes to experiment. Sir/A is a collection that represents a new chapter that expresses the maximum potential of Antolini craftsmanship and abilities. It is a collection that creates a dialogue between walls, floors and furnishings, a dialogue in the language of the single beautiful and natural material. Talking about his work with the company, designer Alessandro La Spada says: “With its hypnotic charm, marble is a reminder of spontaneous creativity. My work with Antolini has always been characterized by a “physiological” type of experimentation. An enlightened businessman like Alberto powerfully conveys his passion for this natural material that rarely leaves us indifferent. I decided to study marble beneath and beyond the surface…And created SIR/A, ‘Antolini/Lord of Marble’, the man who respects marble and works it with passion.” Antolini Luigi_press '13 Exclusive Materials Antolini knows how and where to find natural stones anywhere in the world. And, thanks to the company’s skill in highlighting the materials’ best features, it can offer the market many exclusive types of uniquely beautiful granite, onyx and marble. Brown Chocolate - With warm chocolate tones and colours that recall the earth, Brown Chocolate has dominated international markets for some years now and is extracted from north eastern Brazil. Due to its hardness, it is treated like granite and it is highly valued for its very compact structure. Its colouring and structure are similar to marble and it is recommended for both indoor and outdoor use. Sequoia Brown – It is an exotic marble that stands out for its specific hardness and colors that recall wood. It is perfect for interior design applications, and when it is laid in strips it looks like a hardwood floor. Copper Dune - It comes from the north east of Brazil, an area that has provided a large variety of exotic stone in recent years. It is regarded as a granite because of its hardness and it is highly valued for its blend of brown and light veins which make it particularly stunning and marble-like. The pastel colours are reminiscent of those of the earth and it is highly valued for both indoor and outdoor use. Besides the polished finish, the stone is also very popular with a Lether finish. Azul Macaubas - This is perhaps the most precious and famous quartzite in the world. It is from Brazil and its shades of colour range from very deep to light blue. Its colouring and hardness make this precious quartzite perfect for a wide range of interior and exterior applications, including floorings, wall coverings and decorative items. L'Irish Green - Irish Green is a unique, rippledgreen marble. It is famous for its translucent, apple green elements included in the exclusive variety of light and dark green shades. This geologically ancient marble is the same marble that Renaissance architects used when they sought to bring the colours of the fields and the forests to their magnificent palaces. Constantly evolving, the company has always supported new technology and development in natural stone processing – without forgetting the importance of quality. Antolini has an innate passion for stone: it transforms nature's gifts into beautiful, elegant masterpieces while maintaining great respect for the environment. Everything Antolini does and produces is guided by tradition and technology, passion and quality. The Antolini family conducted its very first business back in 1920, in a small workshop in Sant’Ambrogio di Valpolicella. The entrepreneurial spirit was so strong that significant investments were immediately made to increase the production site and buy up quarries. Between 1950 and 1960, Luigi Antolini took over the management of the company, alongside his uncles. In a short time he gained the experience needed to start up his own business and create “Marmi Antolini” with his sister. Between 1961 and 1989, the new firm Antolini Luigi & C. was established near the River Adige in Sega di Cavaion, in what is still its main building today. Over the following years, the company worked more and more with international markets and in 1988 three different companies joined together and “Eurotrading” was created, covering an area of 130,000 sq.m. In the ten-year period between 1990 and 2000, the Rosa Beta and Sarizzo Antigorio quarries were bought (in the province of Sassari and the municipality of Creola d’Ossola respectively). Both became part of the Antolini group under the name “Licci Alti and Simplon Graniti”. In the same period, the new “Eurotrading” warehouse in Spain was purchased and “Eurobrasil Ltda” was established in Brazil. The early years of the new millennium, between 2001 and 2005, saw the inauguration of the Stone Boutique and the Stone Gallery at the company’s main site. These were both designed to display marble, granite and precious materials and the two showrooms quickly became focal points for experts in the sector.
