That 70s! At Trommelwirbel we’re celebrating the fads of the 70s and give you some
psychedelic inside what made this decade so DY-NO-MITE! We would encourage
anyone who is up for some 70s revival fun to come along. Be there or be square.

Ah, the 70's. A time of brotherly and sisterly love. Platform shoes were in. It was the year
of the curly perm, lounge suits, and shiny fabrics. The flared-leg trousers boogied on until
the end of the decade alongside skin-tight disco wear. It was the best time to be out
discoing. Shiny white hotpants shot off the shelves and everyone wished they could dance
like John Travolta. We wore miniskirts or hot pants, went rollerskating or bike riding,
played board games, or just read a book. The nation held its breath as Old Spice or Charlie
tasted the sweet smell of success. It was the decade of the Ford Cortina and Chopper
bikes. We watched movies like Saturday Night Fever, A Clockwork Orange, The Rocky
Horror Picture Show and others to inspire us. We listened to the music of artists like Led
Zeppelin, David Bowie, Queen, the Rolling Stones, Elton John, The Doobie Brothers, The
Jackson Five, The Sex Pistols, Clash, Blondie, and many others. The 70s, a time where
you could float away and feel like you're in heaven. "Yeah, right; dream on man!"
Boing. Boing. Boing. Boing... Space Hoppers bounced into our lives. It's hard to
believe now, but in the 70s we thought cassette tapes were the latest thing. Color
television was still quite new. People could now watch three broadcasting stations.
High tech gadgets, such as pocket calculators and digital watches, became status
symbols. The 70s gave people a taste of a computerized future.

We love the Bubble Chair, designed by Aarnio Eero as well as the Tulip Chairs and
tables that were designed by a chap named Eero Saarinnen. And do you
remember the funny bean bag chairs? We have them
all. Another hallmark of the 70s was a peculiar
affection for strong colors, and a groovy mix of
brown, orange and yellow. Discover the

The Real Whitebeams
The Washtronaut Whitebeam family is welcoming us with a friendly "Splish-Splash". From
hearsay they learned about the existence of the dazzling laundry Trommelwirbel*).
Absolutely curious and eager to find out more they decided to make holidays on earth.
With cosmic velocity and unlimited tips they arrived at the Blue Planet and the
Trommelwirbel. Papa Washmax, Mama Cleanerella, the kids Spicky & Spanny and the
dog Picobello brim over with enthusiasm for Trommelwirbel! For Spicky and Spanny was
this real love at first sight and together they are chanting out loud "Oh look, how
marvelous! We love it. It's feeling like being at home!"
