FRAConnect Incentive program Long-term incentives for long-term growth Kolumnentitel 1 FRAConnect – The passenger growth and sustainability program at Frankfurt Airport Sustainable growth is healthy growth. It’s growth that enables long-term planning and investment for airports and airlines alike. That’s why airlines which can achieve and maintain passenger growth on continental* and intercontinental flights departing from Frankfurt Airport will be rewarded for their efforts. * flights within Germany are excluded from this program 2 FRAConnect The FRAConnect incentive program will begin on January 1st, 2014 and all airlines with more than 7,500 outbound passengers on continental* and intercontinental flights are eligible to participate. Presently, the program is planned to continue for a period of two years (2014 and 2015). Passenger numbers will be defined by airline code (no code-sharing). Continental* and intercontinental passengers will be counted separately. In order to protect the environment surrounding Frankfurt, noisy aircraft will be excluded from the program. Number of passengers Minimum growth 1 % Minimum growth 1 % Number of passengers in previous year 2013 ”New growth” Incentive base years (2014 and/or 2015) Minimum number of passengers 7,500 p.a. 2014 2015 2016 “Sustainability” Incentive following years (2015 and/or 2016) FRAConnect 3 Sustainable growth for the future There are several possibilities to participate in the program: Existing airlines – new growth Incentives are rewarded for a passenger growth rate of more than 1 % compared to the previous year. By growing faster, your incentive increases exponentially. Incentive of up to 10 € per additional passenger can be achieved. New entrants – existing routes Earn up to 5 € per passenger for carrying more than 7,500 departing passengers from Frankfurt Airport on existing routes.* New entrants – new routes Earn up to 10 € per passenger for carrying more than 7,500 departing passengers from Frankfurt Airport on newly established routes.* All participating airlines – sustained growth By maintaining that level of growth for a further year, you can get up to 50 % of the incentive you earned the previous year. With a growth of more than 1 % you are eligible again for the full incentive.* Rewards will be credited in the first quarter of the following year. For further details on how your airline can earn these incentives, contact the Frankfurt Airport Sales & Customer Relations Team. * Each additional departing passenger above the minimum number of passengers (7,500) and the minimum growth per year and passenger type (1 %). 4 Sustainable growth for the future 5 Existing airlines – incentive amount per passenger “New growth” (incentive base years 2014 and/or 2015) Premises of the incentive scheme for existing carriers: gMinimum of 7,500 departing passengers with either continental* or intercontinental destinations gPassenger growth of at > 1 % versus previous year (2013 and/or 2014) gGrowth only with low-noise aircraft Incentive amount: ga staggered amount per growth intervals will be credited for each additional departing passenger above the minimum number of passengers and the minimum growth. For growth beyond this level in 2015, the prerequisites for the base year apply again. Existing airlines – incentive amount per passenger 7 New entrants – incentive amount per passenger “New routes” (incentive base years 2014 and/or 2015) Premises of the incentive scheme for new routes: gMinimum of 7,500 departing passengers with either continental* or intercontinental destinations gGrowth only with low-noise aircraft gThe airline is new to Frankfurt and the route was not operated during the previous summer and winter schedule. Incentive amount: gMaximum amount will be credited for the 1st year. Incentive per departing passenger will be staggered per growth interval. By maintaining the passenger numbers in the 2nd year, half of the incentive received in the base year will be credited. Passenger growth will be rewarded by operating the following aircraft: g f or continental traffic = flight pattern noise category 1 to and including 11 g f or intercontinental traffic = flight pattern noise category 1 to and including 12 g w ith a noise rating index of R3 and above At Frankfurt Airport, we appreciate your business and support your growth. The FRAConnect program is designed to do just that – reward sustainable growth while promoting noise reduction in the area surrounding the airport.
