The trail is signposted all the way from Groß Gerungs to Gmünd. Asphalted along the entire stretch, this quiet and virtually traffic-free route is the perfect choice for families with small children and people who only cycle from time to time. Your itinerary Take the Waldviertelbahn from Gmünd or Weitra to Abschlag Fassldorf or Groß Gerungs and make the return journey on two wheels via the Waldviertelbahn-Radweg cycle path. Numerous restaurants serving traditional local dishes from the Waldviertel region and beautiful picnic spots provide the ideal excuse to break your journey.
