Emotion in technischer Perfektion. Makes speech captivating. Emotion conveyed with technical perfection. This is the ideal which the Neumann microphones in the Broadcast Line have been designed to fulfill. The fine-tuning to the requirements of professional broadcast studios and the individual, functionally optimized design* ensure that these are microphones of character. With its large-diaphragm condenser capsule and cardioid directional characteristic, the BCM 104 is ideal for the faithful reproduction of speech and music. This is due, for instance, to the frequency response that is flat up to 3 kHz and then gradually boosted in the higher frequencies. If required, internal switches can be used to compensate for the proximity effect and to reduce the sensitivity by 14 von dB. The versatility of the Wenn es um die unverfälschte Wiedergabe Sprache und Musik 104 can be seen in its wide in range of applimit seiner Großmembrankapsel Nierenchageht, ist das BCM 104 BCM from round-table discussions, rakteristik erste Wahl.cations, Dafür sprechen unter anderem: ein bisto3 radio KHz to musical recordings. ebener Frequenzgang, plays, das ausgezeichnetes Impulsverhalten und die per Schalter reduzierbare Empfindlichkeit um 14 dB. Macht Sprache hinreißend. Makes speech expressive. The BCM 705 is Neumann’s first dynamic microphone. The housing and headgrille are identical to those of the BCM 104; only the green logo indicates that this is something new from Neumann. The principle of reduction to the essentials can be seen in the dynamic capsule with a hypercardioid directional characteristic, specifically designed for speech reproduction at close range. Multi-level isolation from structure-borne noise ensures operation free of interference, even in a lively studio environment. The condenser microphone BCM 104 “There‘s no doubt that the Neumann BCM 104 made a big impression – as you would expect from a very well engineered package – the built-in mount is a really great idea – and the sound is very, very good.” (Audio Media, March 2004) “In addition to looking the part of a 21st-century mic, the BCM‘s impressive specs and sound should please any discerning audio pro.” (MIX Magazine, August 2004) New: The dynamic microphone BCM 705 “… since the quality of the BCM 104 is optimal for broadcast speaking applications. This applies not only to the sound characteristics, but also to the overall handling features, with the replaceable headgrille, pop protection and hidden switches for the preattenuation and high-pass filter.” (Production Partner, September 2003) “This impressive sound lends the voice a certain authority: the voice always seems clear and comprehensible ... It remains the case that the Neumann name is an indication of quality.” (Cut, March 2005) “Probably no other manufacturer has so thoroughly considered the details of microphones for radio announcers. The result is a mic which is very convenient to use, with ingenious maintenance and servicing features ... Altogether, these details will enhance the pleasure of working ‘on air’.” (Production Partner, April 2005) The Broadcast Line Features of the BCM 104 and the BCM 705 • • • • • • • Characteristic, functionally optimized design* Integrated, neutral pop protection (1) Integrated elastic suspension (2) Individual headgrilles for different users Colored rings to identify the replacement headgrilles Easy removal and cleaning of microphone headgrille (with bayonet mount) (3) Mechanical compatibility with standard studio boom arms 1 BCM 104 BCM 705 • • • • • • • • • • • Logo color: red Large-diaphragm condenser capsule (4) Cardioid directional characteristic Internal switches: high-pass and pre-attenuation Order number 08483 4 Technical data Frequency range Sensitivity Equivalent SPL, CCIR 468-3 Equivalent SPL, DIN/IEC 651 Weight D x L x H (without suspension) 3 2 Logo color: green Dynamic capsule (5) Hypercardioid directional characteristic Multi-level isolation from structure-borne noise No power supply required Order number 08507 Technical data 20 Hz...20 kHz 22 mV/Pa = –33.1 dB ± 1 dB 18 dB 7 dB-A 500 g 64 x 85 x 110 mm Frequency range Sensitivity Equivalent SPL, CCIR 468-3 Equivalent SPL, DIN/IEC 651 Weight D x L x H (without suspension) 20 Hz...20 kHz 1.7 mV/Pa = –55.4 dB ± 1 dB 32 dB 18 dB-A 500 g 64 x 85 x 110 mm Selected accessories • BCK headgrille, order number 08520 (6) • SG 5 stand mount, order number 08529 (7+8) • MF 3 table stand, order number 07321 (8) The SG 5 stand mount allows the microphone to swivel an additional +/-- 90°. 6 7 8 5 Sijades 2/07 www.neumann.com BCM 104 measured in free-fi eld conditions (IEC 60268-4), tolerance ±2 dB BCM 705 measured in free-fi eld conditions (IEC 60268-4), tolerance ±2 dB Errors excepted, subject to changes • Printed in Germany • Publ. 02/2007 512336/A02 *The design of the microphone is a registered design of the Georg Neumann GmbH. ® Neumann is a registered trademark of the Georg Neumann GmbH.
