was copied from original 16mm Bucyrus films. Machines shown include early Bucyrus and B-E shovels and draglines from the 1920s; scrapers
and other tractor equipment; dredges; and the full range of B-E construction and mining machinery into the 1980s. This series is the most
exhaustive video history of any manufacturer’s products.

Iron Ore Excavation on Film
1935 to 1953
This fascinating DVD is a documentary
about ironstone mining and smelting in
the British county of Lincolnshire in the
early to mid 1900s. Machines featured
in the program include a Lubecker steam
bucket line excavator; Ransomes & Rapier W150, Marion
7400 and Ruston-Bucyrus 5W walking draglines; RustonBucyrus 55RB and 100RB electric shovels; a Ransomes &
Rapier 5360 stripping shovel; and an early hydraulic drill.
Footage of the Hornsby crawler tractor and crawler freight
wagon being demonstrated in 1908 is a highlight. Steam-,
cable- and muscle-powered dump cars for hauling ore to the
smelter are also presented to good effect.
