Jagjit Singh Kohli
Digicable Network India
Leonid Solovyev
Financial Dynamics
Mr. Jagjit Singh Kohli, a pioneer and veteran in
the Cable TV Industry spearheaded the Cable TV
Revolution in the 1980’s. Mr. Kohli was the first
to conceive and develop the concept of MSO
(Multi System Operator) which attracted the
Global Business Giants – the Hindujas – to
associate with him to create the first MSO – In Cablenet in the
year 1994. In 1999 Mr. Kohli joined hands with Rahejas to build
another MSO “Hathway”. Again it was Mr. Kohli who helped the
Zee Group to revive Siti Cable under the brand name of “WWIL”.
Mr. Kohli is a visionary and always finds new and unique
methods in his business models. The concept of a B2B channel
was initiated by him when he launched “etc” channel, which
tremendously helped the film industry to promote their films. The
unique model made ETC No. 1 Music Channel within a year of its
launch – across all age groups. “etc Channel Punjabi”, which
again was No. 1 Punjabi Channel was his creation – its USP
being the live telecast of Gurbani everyday.
Leonid has more than fifteen years of experience
in the field of corporate and financial communications, having worked on both agencies’ and
clients’ sides. He joined FD in spring 2006 and
since 2007 heads up company’s operations in

Physics Institute (Engineer diploma) and University of Northern
Iowa (Master of Arts in Communications). His previous experience includes client services director position with Russian
affiliate of Fleishman Hillard where he advised many Fortune 500
companies on its communications needs in Russia.
After such a successful track record in entertainment industry, it
was but natural that Mr. Kohli started his own MSO “Digicable”
in partnership with Ashmore Investments of U.K. Within a short
span of two years – Digicable has grown to be one of the largest
– if not the largest – MSO in the country. As MD & CEO of Digicable, Mr. Kohli has a lot of unique plans for value addition to the
TV viewing public, which will be rolled out shortly.
The greatest strength of Mr. Kohli, besides his long term vision
and passion for uptodate technology, is his care and concern for
people, which is vividly reflected in the fact that a large number
of people have moved along with him – be it employees or business associates.
