Gender Budgeting and Care Economy in Muslim Societies Summer School within the Ahfad-Humboldt-Link Programme from 25 June until 4 July 2008 Parto Teherani-Krönner – Gülay Caglar – Brigitte Wörteler (HUB) In cooperation with Marion Böker (boeker-consult) Much has been discussed about Gender Budgeting as a consequence of Gender Mainstreaming (GM) at both the national and the international level. In our summer school of 2008 we want to summarize experiences gained so far and specify this debate with a focus on Muslim societies. The dialogue about Gender Budgeting within Muslim societies is relatively new and will be discussed within the frame of feminist economic approaches as well as theories of care economy. at HUMBOLDT-UNIVERSITÄT ZU BERLIN LANDWIRTSCHAFTLICH-GÄRTNERISCHE FAKULTÄT Chair: Gender & Globalization Venue: Dekanatssaal, Invalidenstr. 42, Berlin-Mitte Contact: parto.teherani-kroenner@agrar.hu-berlin.de Registration fee: 50€/25€ (students free) supported by DAAD
