DON BOSCO TECHNICAL INSTITUTE - TARLAC CITY MAY 2014 Members of the Educative Pastoral Community Salesians, Lay Mission Partners, Bosconians, PastPupils (Alumni), Cooperators, ADMA, Parents, and friends gather in the celebration of the Eucharist as they welcome the newly assigned Salesians in DBTarlac - new Don Boscos in our midst. Newly installed Rector of DBTarlac, former principal and from the class of 1992, shares his reflection and realizations together with the challenges for this upcoming school year. New members of the community also took turns to introduce each one - and they indeed introduced a big part of themselves through their look-alikes and samples. We welcome their presence here at DBTarlac and work together towards a better-improved DBTarlac. DBTarlac bids farewell to Fr. Mon and Fr. Jerry. Fr. Mon who has been the Rector for the past four years is now delegated as the new Rector of Don Bosco Academy Pampanga. Fr. Jerry has served us as the school’s Economer for the past four years and as the Catechist five years back. He was also a brotherassistant during his first stint in Tarlac and now he is back in his hometown of San Jose, Nueva Ecija as the Rector of Don Bosco Training Center. SDBs and LaMPs prepare rigorously for the upcoming school year by looking back the school’s vision and mission. The month long preparation is in lieu of having a smooth-running school year. Phase 1 included reflecting on the past school year. Phase 2 was all about the necessary paperworks - CG, S&S, Syllabus and ILP. Phase 3 covered the preparation of classrooms, bulletin boards, and other facilities. DON BOSCO TECHNICAL INSTITUTE - TARLAC CITY MAY 2014 JUNE The alumni board of the Don Bosco Tarlac headed by Mr. Pipo Soliman (class of 86) and its local Salesian delegate, Fr. Jayson B. David, SDB attended the 34th National Convention held at the province of Cebu. Aside from fraternizing with other alumni representatives and sharing the respective chapters’ best practices and activities, they were accorded with well-prepared talks from Presidential Spokesman Sonny Coloma Jr. and FIS Provincial Fr. George Militante, SDB. LaMPs and SDBs engaged in a day of rest and recreation as the new members are introduced to the rest with the “traditional initiation.” The fun and festive outing was held at the scenic Sinagtala Resort, Orani, Bataan. As part of the preparation for this coming school year, our LaMPs also prepared themselves spiritually by going for a 3-day retreat at the Mary Help of Christians House of Spirituality Don Bosco Batulao, Nasugbu Batangas facilitated and animated by Fr. Armand Robleza, SDB. Our LaMPs were equipped with the code of the champions - the layman’s idea of holiness and sanctity. Indeed, our LaMPs are not just about ready but also inspired to inspire others. Immersed among the least, the lost, and the last, Bosconians showcase their prayer, character, excellence, and service. 14 Bosconians accompanied by five LaMPs went to Baranggay Maruglu, Capas, Tarlac to experience the every-day life of our Aeta brothers - literally searching for food along the backyards of the community, cooking, washing the laundry, fetching water in the deep-well, and walking for miles to look after the farm and livestock.
