Foreword by the General Manager
Welcome
Welcome to the Lufthansa Resource Technical Training Directory for 2011.
Since relocation to our brand new, state of the art facility we are seeing record numbers of
delegates from the UK and overseas opting for training with us.
We have undertaken this development programme not only to increase capacity to meet
demand, but also to provide a genuine industry leading learning environment.
Why Train with LRTT?
We firmly believe that the interest from new customers and the loyalty of our existing delegates
is due to our industry focus, highly qualified Technical Instructors and customer service levels.
We have more than 300 years of actual, hands on, industry experience.
LRTT only trains people for aviation, we do not deliver training by routine or academic year, we
help our delegates to live it, just like we do and you can only achieve that by being at the heart
of the industry.
We respect your background and experience and through our robust internal quality and
feedback system we encourage you to make suggestions for further improvement.
We are not just judged by our service levels but also by our results. LRTT has an impressive
record of success that we are more than happy to share, with pass rates frequently updated on
our website.
Once again, welcome and, on behalf of LRTT, I hope that you find all the information that you
are looking for.

Limitation Removal Courses
The changes from the UK national licensing system to EASA means that the traditional A&C licence holder is now required to perform electrical maintenance
tasks in addition to the traditional airframe and engine maintenance tasks.
Although a restricted B1 can be issued without any further training, this restricts the authorisation capability of the licence holder to the exact authorisation areas
they held before the change to EASA licensing. Individuals can retain authorisation ‘grandfather rights’ but these expire when the individual moves company or
the existing company adds a new aircraft type.
To remove limitaions 1 and 9 and to attain an unrestricted B1 licence the following modular and sub modular examinations need to be passed.
The added advantage of attaining an unrestricted B1 licence is that you can extend the licence to include the B2 category.

Licence Extension Courses
B1 - B2 and B2 - B1
LRTT provide EASA Part-66 modular licence extension courses which add authorisation capabilities to an existing EASA Part-66 B1 or B2 Licence, creating
more experienced and efficient engineers.
The multi-licensed engineer can sign off many additional maintenance tasks, resulting in highly qualified and flexible staff.
The modular structure of the courses makes training extremely flexible; modules can be booked in any order and scheduled around work commitments.
As LRTT is an approved training provider, we set and administer the examinations for each module in-house. This reduces costs in transport and time away to
attend central examinations. We even offer a free examinations resit per module, should it be required.

B1 Limitation Removal
LRTT people have exceptional experience, not only in designing and organising in-company training, but
in making sure that it fits comfortably with a company’s culture, its objectives - and, of course, its people.
There are several other advantages. In-company training can be delivered at a time, and at a venue, of the
company’s choice, optimising convenience and throughput.
It establishes a vital focus, with all participants having that common bond of being part of the same
organisation – an environment that can stimulate ideas and discussions that might not otherwise have
taken place.
And it can be particularly cost effective, because the company itself establishes timing and attendance that
will minimise the effect on working processes.

If your organisation has a group or groups of employees that requires any of the LRTT service offering or a
new offering that LRTT can develop please contact the LRTT sales team.

LRTT offers all of the type training capability of Lufthansa Technical Training through our UK operation.
Type Training with Lufthansa Technical Training (LTT)
The training imparts knowledge and skills for work on the aircraft fuselage, engines and components. These trainings could be a prerequisite for obtaining a Type
Endorsement in an AML (Aircraft Maintenance Licence).
Lufthansa Technical Training applies a modular training concept in accordance with the ATA Specifications 104. In this way we will impart to your staff in
concentrated form a high degree of expertise so that they can quickly and effectively carry out all scheduled or unscheduled maintenance work.
As a subsidiary company of Lufthansa Technik, Lufthansa Technical Training is independent of aircraft manufacturers, therefore we are able to offer training for
diverse aircraft types with jet propulsion.

Lufthansa Resource Technical Training Ltd. Customer’s General
Terms and Conditions are not applicable. Deviations from these
General Terms and Conditions must be agreed upon in writing to be
effective.
2.
Offer; Conclusion of Contract
LRTT will issue a written offer upon preliminary negotiations with
customer. The offer will contain a service description and a
registration
form
as
contract
documentation.
The acceptance of the offer is effected by returning to LRTT a duly
signed registration form, which contains all relevant elements,
together with a 10% deposit. If the course is due for delivery within 4
weeks of this order then the total fee payable is due with the order.
Failure to pay will invalidate the order.
Customer will receive an invitation with all relevant information
(location of the classroom, timetables, access description, etc.) about
three weeks prior to course start.
3.
Termination of the Contract by Customer
Customer may terminate the contract by written notice to LRTT. In
case of such termination, LRTT may, in its sole discretion, charge
cancellation fees. The amount of these fees depends on the time of
receipt of the cancellation notice as follows:

Any costs incurred by LRTT in preparation of the agreed service will
be charged to customer but will be limited to a maximum of the
contract price less any applicable cancellation fee.
4.
Delay of the Course
If, due to force majeure or other reasons beyond LRTT’s reasonable
control, the course cannot be performed at the agreed date, or only be
performed with unreasonable economic effort, then the course will be
performed on the next possible date agreed. The same applies in
case of illness of a trainer.
Customer may terminate the contract without any cancellation charge
if, due to the delay, the service is no longer of interest for customer.
In case of such termination, any fees paid by customer will be
refunded. Any other claims shall be excluded.
5.
Termination of Contract by LRTT
In case LRTT has declared a specific training program to be subject to
a minimum number of participants, LRTT may terminate the contract if
such minimum number is not reached.
In such case, customer will be notified two weeks before course start
at the latest. Any training fees paid by customer will be refunded.
Any
other
claims
will
be
excluded.
The same will apply in case the training cannot be performed due to
force majeure or other reasons for which LRTT is not responsible.
Notification will be made without undue delay.
6.
Performance
Customer is responsible for compliance with any requirements for
participants’ qualifications. The requirements for participation as set
forth in the training programs shall apply.
Training will normally take place at the LRTT training premises in the
UK.
Daily schedules of training will correspond with the customary working
hours of LRTT unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. LRTT is
responsible for performing the training. LRTT reserves the right to let
the training be partly or wholly performed by duly qualified third parties
in LRTT’s name. Under all circumstances, certification will be effected
by LRTT.
If a successful completion of the training requires any test or
examination, the test or examination will be made according to the
applicable LRTT rules. LRTT does not warrant that the participant will
reach the intended training level, nor does LRTT warrant that a
participant will pass the exam.
7.
Specification of Services, Prices, Terms of Payment
In case of training courses, the services are specified in the training
description, which is the basis for the contract. The applicable prices
for the different courses are set forth in the registration form.
Applicable value added tax, other taxes or fees for services performed
will be charged to the customer.
The agreed total price shall be due and payable without deduction as
per clause 2. Once the booking and payment have been received an
appropriate invoice will be issued. Payments shall be made in Sterling
and at customer’s cost and risk. Any payment not effected when due
will carry interest at one per cent (1%) per month.
LRTT will not bear any of the participants’ travel expenses.
LRTT will, at customer’s request, assist in booking hotel rooms and
rental cars. Bookings will be made in customer’s name and at
customer’s cost. The invoice will be paid directly by customer.
Customer will bear any cancellation fees.
8.
Liability / Safety Rules and Insurances
LRTT shall not be liable for any kind of damage arising directly or
indirectly out of or in connection with the performance or nonperformance of the training, unless such damages have been caused
