The camp will specifically focus on the mechanics of offense and defense, including base running, sliding and position work for pitchers and catchers. Instruction will be position specific and at times individualized. Grouping will be based on both age as well as ability. Cherryl Bott-Melfa What to bring? Cleats, sneakers, glove, bat, batting gloves, helmet, knee pads, slider shorts or pants, catcher's gear, visor/hat, towel, change of clothes (in case of an emergency!), "personal items", sun block, water, lunch, and most importantly, a positive attitude! What happens in the event of inclement weather? Parents will be notified in the event of a cancellation via email. If any day is cancelled, the make-up date will be Friday, July 10th and Friday, July 17th. If any two days are rained out, campers will be reimbursed for the day. How Do I Register? Complete the attached registration form of this brochure and mail to Bulldog Softball Camp at the listed address. Extras? There will be the opportunity to purchase cold water, Gatorade and other snacks throughout the day. Pizza will also be ordered everyday for lunch for those who wish to order for an additional cost. We will also be offering before-care beginning at 8:00 am and after-care until 4:00 pm for $10.00 per hour. Coach Bott is currently the Varsity Assistant Coach at Rutherford High School. Previously the Head Coach at Secaucus High School from 2007-2013, Coach Bott recorded a career record of 137-52. Coach Bott was a 2 time league Coach of the Year and was the 2013 Hudson County Coach of the Year. Coach Bott led her team to League Championships in 2007, 2008, 2010, 2011, 2012; Hudson County Champions – 2013; and State Sectional, North 2, Group 1 Champions - 2013. Coach Bott is a former standout player from Rutherford High School – All County and All State Honors as a player. She also is a private hitting and fielding instructor at Lefty’s Sports Academy in Clifton. Helen Antzoulides Coach Antzoulides is currently the Head Varsity Coach at Rutherford High School. Coach A has a career record of 194-73 in 10 years at the helm of RHS. Coach A was a 4-time league Coach of the Year in both the BCSL American League and the current NJIC Colonial League. Coach A also led her team to League Championships in 2005, 2006, 2012, 2013 and 2014; and State Sectional, North 2, Group 2 Champions in 2008 There will be many other current and former college and high school players on this year’s camp staff. There will also be a certified trainer on staff.
