This virtual simulator has the following applications which are comparable to US machines currently in use that include: Depth of Field Contrast Gain. Angle Convention Contour Measurement Doppler Target Cut Plane As a training tool the VIMEDIX US Trainer also has a tutorial application that provides anatomical orientations for the user by listing the specific names of tissues and structures while manipulating the probe. Geoff Bates a representative of CAE demonstrates features of the VIMEDIX Ultrasound Trainer Recent users include CRDAMC’s Emergency Medicine Staff Physicians (photographed right) teaching a US course at Medical Simulation Training Center (MSTC) where physicians and clinicians practiced US techniques.
