Dear Prospective Sponsor, I am writing this letter on behalf of the Zeta Beta Tau Fraternity. Located at 28th and Salado, ZBT is one of the most respected and well-known fraternities at the university, and today we come to ask for your help. Every year, ZBT puts on a benefit concert called ZBTahiti. This year, all proceeds from the event will be donated to LIVESTRONG, Lance Armstrong’s Foundation. LIVESTRONG’s mission is to unite, inspire and empower people affected by cancer. This Austin-based charity is perfect for this event for a number of reasons. While giving back to the community is always important to ZBT, this year calls for an even stronger effort. One of our own members, Neil Gustafson, was recently diagnosed with testicular cancer. Neil has been doing great thus far, and we hope he will be fully recovered in time for the event. After Lance Armstrong personally reached out to Neil to ensure his speedy recovery, he became inspired, as Philanthropy Chair, to raise the involvement of LIVESTRONG. In honor of Neil, we are hosting this Roundup’s most recognized event with a performance from hiphop visionary J. Cole. J. Cole, is an up-and-coming superstar in the music industry. He was the first artist signed to Jay-Z’s record label, Roc Nation, and many consider him to be Jay-Z’s protégé. Rolling Stone stated that J. Cole is a “breath of fresh air” in hip-hop, with a clean act and innovative style. But J. Cole does not simply gain praise from reviews, he is currently touring with hip-hop artist Drake, where together, they are selling out shows all across Europe and Canada. J. Cole is expected to release his highly anticipated album directly before ZBTahiti. Popularity for this event will increase every day, and our show will be sold out. ZBTahiti is no stranger to success. With acts like “Bone Thugs ‘N Harmony,” “Lil Flip,” and “Nappy Roots,” this event is always the talk of Roundup Weekend. In fact, “The Cool Kids,” who performed in 2009, said “this is the wildest show we have ever played, overseas included.” In addition to ticket sales, the chapter is relying on sponsorships from local businesses to fund the event. Any donation is welcomed and very much appreciated. We are expecting well above 1,000 guests, and we are also selling T-Shirts at cost to help sponsor exposure by printing their logos. These shirts are worn for semesters, guaranteeing publicity from students and music fans alike. Please do not miss this unique opportunity to gain recognition while simultaneously supporting a great cause.
