Benefit barrel race rescheduled for January 19 in Mount Selman

The benefit, which was designed to help the family of Tiffany Wolven, a girl with multiple genetic
disorders, was postponed in December because of wet conditions in the arena and again this week
because of heavy rain.

Tiffany’s mother, Tammy Wolven, said via email that
it was best to reschedule for the safety of the horses
and riders.

Mrs. Wolven, in an email, thanked sponsors of prizes and silent auction items as well as everyone who
has donated to Tiffany.
Tiffany was born with a skin-covered cyst on the back of her head, which was repaired at 10 weeks old,
and was diagnosed with several rare genetic diseases: Arn-old-Chiari type III, which affects her bone
structure; Meckel-Gruber syndrome, which affects her lungs and kidneys; and Sandifer’s syndrome,
which causes seiz-ures. She also has a movement disorder.
