Callis R Harms
1926 ~ 2014
Callis R Harms, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, friend and
husband passed away Saturday,
June 21, 2014.
Callis was born in Thatcher, AZ,
on March 18, 1926, to Walter and
Lola Richardson Harms. He graduated from Thatcher High School,
Gila Jr. College, and BYU. He also
completed a Doctorate at Arizona
State University. He served his
country by enlisting in the U.S.
Navy, during WWII, where he
served in the South Pacific.
Callis is the second of eight
children, born of goodly parents.
From his youth, Callis championed
a happy home. His willingness to
love and serve began early on in
his life and has been magnified
through adulthood.
Callis married his beloved
sweetheart, Marlene Lowry, on
June 3, 1952, in the Salt Lake
Temple. They celebrated their 50th
anniversary in 2002. Callis struggled to handle his heartache, when
Marlene passed away in 2008.
Their legacy of conviction to
gospel principles, despite the trials
of life, will forever be remembered.
Callis enjoyed a successful 35
yr. career as an elementary school
teacher, principal (twice), and as a
professor at Brigham Young University, in the College of Education; the Department of Educational Administration; the Department
of Curriculum and Instructional
Science (he wrote two text books:
How to Write a Dissertation and
Research Design); and in the
College of Religion. He was a
gardener, woodworker, avid gospel reader and stellar family
historian. He was a master teacher
and was happiest when sharing
the ‘good news of the gospel’ and
the joy it brings. He touched the
lives of countless people with his
gospel knowledge and inspiration.
He truly strived to live a Christ-like
life in every way. Above all, he was
a beloved father and grandfather.
Callis is survived by his children:
Arthur Harms (Delaine) of Orem,
UT; Aliece Magnusson (David) of
Carpinteria, CA; Adele Sears
(Michael) of Ventura, CA; and
Adrienne Peterson (Troy) of Highland, Utah. He leaves 15 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by all of his
siblings: Lorene Crockett of Safford, AZ; Carolyn Crockett of Pima,
AZ; Pauline Wallin of Orem, UT;
Marvel Stradling of Pima, AZ;
Lynette Layton of Central, AZ;
Lorin Harms of Tempe, AZ; and
Stephen Harms of Mesa, AZ.
Callis was a faithful member of
the Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-day Saints and served a
mission in the Central Atlantic
States Mission (1948-1950). He
also served as a Bishop in the
Orem,
Utah
20th
Ward
(1964-1971). He and Marlene
served 3 missions together: Germany
East
Berlin
Mission
(1992-1994), SLC Temple Square
Mission (1999-2001), and at the
LDS Church Museum of History, in
SLC (2001-2003). Callis served in
various other Church capacities;
and he spent the latter part of his
life serving in the Mt. Timpanogos
Temple.
Family and friends are invited to
the Viewing, at Noon, on Saturday,
June 28, 2014, at the Lakeridge
3rd Ward Chapel, 950 S. 50 E., in
Orem. The Funeral will start at 1
p.m. A graveside service will be
held at 3:00 p.m., at the Orem City
Cemetery, 1500 North 800 East.

Gilbert "Gil" Alonzo Roundy
passed away on June 18, 2014 in
Colville, Washington. He was born
on May 18, 1932 in Provo, Utah,
the son of Alonzo and Aileen
(Swain) Roundy.
A memorial gathering for Mr.
Roundy will be held at 3:00 p.m.,

David Ferrell
Stephens
1968 ~ 2014
David Ferrell Stephens, age 45,
passed away on June 18, 2014 at
his home in Provo, Utah. He was
born July 16, 1968 in Rupert,
Idaho to Carol Catmull and Ken
Stephens. He married Stacey
Edwards on October 22, 1993, in
the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
David graduated from Minico
High School in 1987. He served an
LDS mission in Arizona and held
many callings within the LDS
church. He enlisted in the Utah
National Guard and later served in
the war in Afghanistan. At the time
of his death, he was employed by
the United States Postal Service.
Dave was a good friend to all who
knew him and touched the lives of
many. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife,
Stacey Stephens of Provo, Utah;
his son Samuel Conor Stephens of
Provo; his parents Ken (Sally)
Stephens of Rupert, Idaho and
Carol Catmull of Hailey, Idaho; his
brothers Scott (Vandy) Stephens
of Boise, Idaho and Steve (Cassi)
Stephens of Mackay, Idaho; and
many cousins, aunts and uncles.
A visitation for family and friends
will be held from 6 to 8 p.m.,
Thursday, June 26, at the Provo
North Park Stake Center at 1066
West 200 North in Provo, Utah.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m.
Saturday, June 28, at the Heyburn
LDS church located at 530 Villa
Drive in Heyburn, Idaho. Burial
with military honors will follow at
the Rupert Cemetery. Friends may
call at the church from 9:30 to
10:45 a.m. prior to the funeral on
Saturday. Services were under the

Louiene Heninger Brammer, loving wife, mother, grandmother,
great-grandmother, and friend
passed away peacefully in the
early morning of June 19, 2014. At
the time of her death she was in
the company of her husband of
nearly 65 years, Joseph, and her
family.
Louiene was born on September
29, 1923 in Raymond, Alberta,
Canada. She was the fourth child
and first daughter born to Wilford
Abijah and Mabel King Heninger.
Louiene grew up in Raymond and
from an early age she and her
sister Bernice loved horses and
would ride whenever possible. She
and Bernice would ride their
horses in the annual Dominion
Day (Canada Day) Parade on July
1st.
After high school in Canada,
World War II was raging and
Louiene went to Montreal to live
with her older brother Maurice and
his wife Vera. She worked for the
Canadian Broadcasting Corporation while living there. After the war
she and her sister Bernice moved
to Provo to attend Brigham Young
University. In 1948 she met
Joseph Smith Brammer in one of
her classes. They were married
the following year on July 27,
1949, in the Cardston Alberta
Temple.
After dental school the young
family settled in Southern California where Joe had his dental
practice. There they raised their
five children and cultivated friendships that have lasted a lifetime.
In 1989 Louiene developed a
heart problem that became critical.
A heart transplant would prolong
her life for another 25 years. After
the transplant Joe and Louiene
moved to Provo, Utah where they
made many more dear friends and
resided until her death. Louiene
was a lifelong member of the
Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints. She held church
callings all of her life and was
always quick to serve others. She
was also known for her quick wit
and love of reading. She was
loved deeply by her husband and
all of her children. In the last years
of her life each child came to visit
repeatedly to help her and Joe.
She considered her children her
very best friends.
Louiene was preceded in death
by her parents Wilford and Mabel
Heninger, brothers Bryant Vernon,
Maurice King, and Mark Ward,
sister Mary Heninger Schummers.
She is survived by her husband of
65 years Joseph Smith Brammer,
children Helen Heder (James),
Robert Heninger Brammer (Paula),
Carolyn
Brammer
(Tris
Yerrington),
John
Joseph
Brammer (Natalie) and Margaret
Brammer Reeves. She is also
survived
by
sister
Bernice
Blackham, and brother Richard
Wilford Heninger, 15 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren.

Naida Cram
Hutchings
Patty C. Wanlass, 59, lost her
courageous battle with Leiomyosarcoma cancer and passed away
surrounded by her family on a
beautiful Saturday afternoon, June
21, 2014. Born in American Fork,
Utah on December 04, 1954 to
Robert and Patricia Christiansen.
She married Carl T. Wanlass on
November 12, 1976 in American
Fork, Utah.
Patty grew up as a free spirit
who loved being outdoors riding
her beloved horse Patches, spending time up the canyon, and taking
car rides over the "Highland
Bump". After marrying her soul
mate, she never expected to have
children, however, she was quickly
blessed with two boys that gave
her a run for her money each and
every day of her life. As the only
girl of the family, Patty endured a
boy’s life of sports, stitches, and
troublemaking. There was no
baseball game she didn't attend,
action movie she didn't see, or G.I.
Joe figure she didn't buy. As her
boys grew up and moved on, she
fostered an adventurous spirit and
always loved trying new things.
She developed many passions
including golfing, hiking in the
desert, landscape photography,
and water coloring. She had a
natural talent with both the lens
and brush that will live on forever
through her work. Four years ago,
she was given her greatest wish of
all, the first girl of the family. She
finally had a kindred spirit to share
years of pent-up girl talk! There
was nothing more cherished in her
life than her two grandchildren.
She is survived by her loving
husband Carl T. Wanlass of
Washington, UT; son Tyson
(Ashley) of Salt Lake City, UT; son
Trent (Lindsey) of Washington, UT;
grandchildren Madyson Lynn Wanlass and Seth Ryan Holstein;
parents Robert (Patricia) of Highland, UT; sister Gay (Michael) of
Pleasant Grove, UT; brother Bret

University of Utah in the interest of
cancer research. A public celebration of her life will be held Friday,
June 27 from 5:00pm - 10:00pm at
the Northampton House, 198 West
300 North, American Fork, Utah.

raise a glass in honor of one of the
most positively radiant, generous,
and Sunny Lady to grace this

Huntsman Cancer Institute in
Patty’s name. We are eternally

given by the doctors and nurses at

The world has truly lost an angel
- a woman without guile. Naida
Cram Hutchings, who dedicated
her life to the service of all she
met, left this earth June 20, 2014.
She was born in Salt Lake City,
Utah November 21, 1921. The
oldest of 3 children, she spent her
childhood in Detroit, Michigan
before moving to Denver, Colorado and later serving an LDS
mission in the Northwestern
States. This was the first of 5
full-time missions - the rest she
served with her eternal companion, Donald Hutchings, who she
met on her first mission. Eventually
they settled in Merced, California
and together raised 8 children:
Donnay, Mark (Mary Shelley),
Butch (Debbie Anderson), Deedee
(Bob) Granata, Jill (Dennis)
Stubbs, Chuck (Terri Crockett),
Dean (Debbie Hekking) and Elaine
(Scott) Davies. As she passed
through the veil she was greeted
by her husband, Don, her granddaughter, Amy Glassett, and many
others who had their existence
enhanced by knowing her. Along
with her children and their spouses, Naida has left behind 31
grandchildren, 53 great grandchildren, her brother, Bruce Cram,
and her in-laws, Gene & Jeanann
Hutchings, Doris Hutchings and
Mary Pendleton - all of whom now
have a hole in their hearts.
Our never-ending love and
appreciation goes out to our
mother who dried our tears;
cleaned our wounds; kept us fed –
never letting our freezer be void of
ice cream; forced us to practice
piano; made sure we were at
church every week; told Dad on us
when we were bad; made certain
Dad didn't punish us too much;
welcomed both friends (mostly
ours) and strangers into her home;
sewed our clothes and cleaned
them in a moment’s notice; held us
until we slept; saved us from the
monsters at night; taxied us to
baseball,
basketball,
football,
dance, singing, Arden Park Pool,
school and church functions;
camped with us; hiked with us;
was always there for us; laughed
with us and cried with us; and
taught us how to love – unconditionally – all without once complaining.

Our beloved daughter, sister,
auntie and friend, Rebecca "Becca
Boo" Troumbley, 15, has returned,
unexpectedly, to her Father in
Heaven June 22, 2014. Grandma
Horton and Gramps Troumbley,
both very special to her, were
waiting with open arms.
Becca was the missing puzzle
piece to our family and when she
was born June 5, 1999 to Shawn
and Marian Troumbley, the puzzle
was complete. She was born in
Provo, UT and lived most of her
life there. She is a member of the
Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints and was active in the
Young Women’s program.
Becca loved all things colorful,
sparkly and unique, just like her
personality. She loved to design
and create outfits, and especially
loved "Disney Bounding."
Becca is survived by her parents; sisters: Stephanie (John

Melissa;
Nieces:
Lacey, Abby, Kaylee, nephew to
arrive in October, and Becca’s

Ross Dan Herrera, 61, passed
away on June 18, 2014. He was
born on June 18 1953 in Grand
Junction, Colorado to Santiago
and Emily Herrera.
Ross loved the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. Ross
was a hard worker, he had retired
from the Ironworkers Local #27.
He is survived by his children,
