Rachel Gillard finished 1st in the girls’ backstroke final. Lucy Kent finished 1st in the girls’ breast stroke final. Ethan Scrutton finished 1st in the boys’ backstroke final. Morag Molyneux finished 2nd in the girls’ freestyle final Teddy Tomlinson finished 6th in the boys’ breast stroke final Jacob Dures finished 6th in the boys’ freestyle final The team of Rachel, Lucy, Ethan and Teddy finished 1st in the mixed freestyle relay final. A wonderful achievement. The children were so committed and they swam superbly on the night. Well done indeed! Easter Gifts Your child should have brought home an Easter egg, kindly donated by the PTFA and a small Easter Booklet donated by school. Hopefully, these gifts will help the children to know more about Easter and come to understand the importance of this very special time, in the Netball Tournament The children entered the High 5s Tournament this week and came a creditable 3rd. Well done to everyone who took part and to Mrs Crane and the mums and dads who went along to support. Creative Egg Competition There were many wonderfully imaginative entries in the EGG COMPETITION. CSOs Dawn and Jill were our celebrity judges for the day. We have photos on the school website and they look great! Mothering Sunday Service Thank you to everyone who came along to the Mothering Sunday Service at St Cuthbert’s church. It was a lovely occasion and once again, the children did brilliantly well with their reading, singing and dancing. We hope that you enjoyed it and had a lovely day. School re-opens on Wednesday 27th April (for 2days) then reopens Tuesday May 3rd Royal Wedding (William and Kate) On Thursday 28th April, we are having a party to celebrate the Royal Wedding. This will be an Own Clothes Day, with the theme of red, white and blue. The PTFA has planned a lovely day! Dinner Money For those parents who regularly pay for school dinners, please send in £10-80 on Tuesday 3rd May. This will cover the 2 odd days (Wed 27th and Thurs 28th) and the first week. Thank you.
