The service providers and resources that are monitored and certified by ODMHSAS are indicated by a single asterisk (*). Please note that while a provider may have one or more services certified by or contracted with ODMHSAS, they may provide other services that are not certified by nor contracted with ODMHSAS. Service providers and resources listed in this publication are neither endorsed nor recommended by ODMHSAS and are merely provided for informational purposes. Accessing Services While it may seem simple, contacting your insurance company first to discover which providers are in network in your area is generally the quickest route to a good referral. Many insurance companies have toll-free numbers and/or websites to help narrow your search. Also, the information provided in this publication was accurate as of October 1, 2009. However, as children’s services are in constant state of change, checking with the providers for up-to-date information is always the best idea. Oklahoma Systems of Care Visit the ODMHSAS Children, Youth and Family Services website for current information. Here are links to specific resources that you might find helpful. The services are provided in a secure residential setting for up to five (5) days, if needed. Program components include individual, group and family therapy, along with medication management if deemed medically necessary. Admission criteria are set by the Oklahoma Health Care Authority (OHCA) and applicable state law (Title 43A). Both Children’s Crisis Centers work with no insurance and Medicaid clients and are in network with some private insurance companies. While the units are located in specific towns, they serve children from across the state. Teams provide outreach, assessments, evaluation, crisis intervention and stabilization, referral, crisis planning, 24-48 hour follow-up appointments, short term therapy and/or monitoring for individuals experiencing a mental health or substance abuse emergency. MCR teams respond to crises in the community, at schools, hospitals, shelters, places of employment and other community settings to stabilize the situation in the youth’s natural environment. MCR services are designed to de-escalate the crisis situation; prevent possible inpatient hospitalization, detention, homelessness; and to restore youth to a pre-crisis level of stabilization. Services are tailored to youth and their families and focus on family strengths, needs and preferences. While all MCR teams have the same goals and objectives, each community has their own specifications to best meet the needs of the consumers in their community. All of the following mobile crisis units are contracted with ODMHSAS (**) and services are provided regardless of the youth’s ability to pay.
