Govmark Fire & Flammability Testing TEST ORDER FORM APPAREL & APPAREL FABRICS (CHILDREN’S SLEEPWEAR) DISCUSSION ON LAUNDERING The law requires all fabrics to be tested both initially and after 50 launderings. Products whose flame retardant characteristics depend on topical finishes should undergo the 50 wash procedure on every production lot. Garment manufacturers are relieved of the 50 wash responsibility provided that they have a 50 wash test certificate applying to the fabric used to construct the garment. There are certain instances where due to the garment finish and construction, the garment is unable to comply with the test requirements. Occasionally, one wash and dry will sometimes improve the garment’s performance. The law permits this one laundering cycle. Please complete a separate form for each product submitted.
