Dupont TYCHEM C ® Disposable Coverall
Consisting of a substrate of regular TYVEK® plus a specialised
polymeric coating, TYCHEM®C capitalises on the high strengthto-weight ratio and flexibility of TYVEK®. 100% particle tight, it
provides total protection against ultra-fine hazardous dusts and
powders, concentrated inorganic acids and bases and waterbased salt solutions.
TYCHEM® C resists liquid splashes of pressures up to 2 bar.
TYCHEM® C has passed penetration tests with blood and
surrogate viruses which proves it can be used to protect against
body fluids, blood and blood bourne pathogens.
TYCHEM® C has an antistatic coating on
the white inside surface. When protection
against the build up of electrostatic charge is
needed, specific grounding conditions must
be followed.

Dupont Tychem F ® Coverall
Code: TYCF
Tychem® F is a DuPont proprietary barrier material that has been
available in Europe since 1994. Garments made of Tychem® F
help offer protection against chemical warfare agents and a
variety of industrial chemicals. They include features such as:
taped seams; respirator fit hood; and storm flap with double-sided
tape over the zipper. These garments, which are gray for low
visibility, are intended for domestic preparedness situations
where the potential for exposure to chemical, biological and
radioactive agents exists. Garments made of Tychem® F have
been tested by the Soldier and Biological Chemical Command
(SBCCOM) in Aberdeen, Md. and the TNO Laboratories in the
Netherlands.

Encapsulated Suit
TYCHEM ® TK delivers the highest level of protection against
highly toxic, corrosive gases, vapors, liquids and solid chemicals.
This high-performance chemical barrier fabric is ideal for
industrial, HazMat and domestic preparedness applications.
TYCHEM ® TK has documented barrier against more than 327
chemicals. More than 260 of these with no observed permeation
after eight hours of continuous contact.
The lime yellow colour of TYCHEM ® TK is
highly visible in both low light and bright
situations. This colour was chosen because
it is one of the most visible, providing a
greater margin of saftey in emergency
situations. TYCHEM ® TK is available in
Level A and Level B garments, and are in NFPA 1991 certified
ensembles.

of multiple film barriers with unique layers laminated to each side

The EM Suit is a specially
designed disposable coverall
that allows medical
professionals to protect

against deadly chemical and
biological agents while
retaining the ability to properly
monitor cardiac and respiratory functions of suspected
chem/bio/H5N1 patients.
This specially designed coverall uses DuPont’s TYCHEM® F
material, the most popular protective coverall used by first
responders and military personnel around the world. This suit has
been fitted with a medical pass-through, allowing the user to
remain fully protected inside the encapsulated garment while
using a stethoscope.
The heart of the system is the new E-Scope Electronic
Stethoscope from Cardionics, which utilizes state of the art
electronic technology to amplify heart, breath and Korotkoff
sounds so they become much easier to hear. The sound is pure,
clean and around 30 times louder than acoustic stethoscopes.
When compared to acoustic stethoscopes, murmurs and faint
blows are much more distinguishable.
