BACK
Using 5.00mm needles cast on 73 (77, 81, 85, 89) sts
and work 15 rows of 1 x 1 rib as foll:
Row 1: (RS) K2, (P1, K1), to last st K2.
Row 2: (WS) (K1, P1) to last st K1.
Row 16: (WS) rib to centre, inc 1 st, rib to end [74 (78,
82, 86, 90) sts].
Change to 7.00mm needles and stocking st and cont
until work measures 38 (38, 39, 39, 40)cm from beg,
ending with a purl row.
Armhole Shaping
Cast off 4 sts at beg of next 2 rows.
Dec 1 st at each end of this and foll alt rows until 56 (60,
64, 68, 72) sts rem.
Cont in stocking st without shaping until work measures
60 (60, 62, 62, 64)cm from beg, ending with a purl row.
Shoulder Shaping
Cast off 6 (7, 7, 8, 8) sts at beg of next 2 rows.
Cast off 7 (7, 8, 8, 9) sts at beg of next 2 rows.
Place rem 30 (32, 34, 36, 38) sts on a holder or spare
needle.
FRONT
Using 5.00mm needles cast on 73 (77, 81, 85, 89) sts
and work 15 rows of 1 x 1 rib as for back
Row 16: (WS) rib to centre, inc 1 st, rib to end [74 (78,
82, 86, 90) sts].
Change to 7.00mm needles and commence cable as
foll:
Cable Set up row (Row 1): K3 (5, 7, 9, 11), P3, (K4,
M1, K7, M1, K3, P3, K4, P3) twice, K4, M1, K7, M1, K3,
P3, K3 (5, 7, 9, 11) [80 (84, 88, 92, 96) sts].
Rows 2, 3 & 4: Knit all knit sts, purl all purl sts.
Row 5: K3 (5, 7, 9, 11), P3, (CB4B, CB4F, P3, K4, P3)
twice, CB4B, CB4F, P3, K3 (5, 7, 9, 11).
Rows 6 - 11: As Row 2.
Last 10 Rows form cable stitch patt, worked every 10
rows.
Cont in patt until work measures 38 (38, 39, 39, 40)cm
from beg, ending with a WS row.
Armhole Shaping
Note: Keep patt correct and omit cable patt as needed.
Cast off 4 sts at beg of next 2 rows.
Dec 1 st at each end of this and foll alt rows until 60 (64,
68, 72, 76) sts rem.
Cont in stocking st without shaping until work measures
53 (53, 55, 55, 57)cm from beg, ending with a purl row.
Shape Neck
Patt 23 (24, 25, 27, 29) turn.
Patt to end.
Dec 1 st at the end of every row until 14 (15, 16, 17, 18)
sts rem.
Cont without shaping until work measures same as for
back to shoulder shaping, ending with a WS row.
Shoulder Shaping
Cast off 7 (7, 8, 8, 9) sts at beg of next row.
Patt 1 row.
Cast off rem 7 (8, 8, 9, 9) sts.
Place next 14 (16, 18, 18, 18) sts on a holder or spare
needle.
Rejoin yarn to rem 23 (24, 25, 27, 29) sts.
Patt 2 rows.
Dec 1 st at beg of every row, until 14 (15, 16, 17, 18) sts
rem.
Cont without shaping until work measures same as for
back to shoulder shaping, ending with a RS row.
Shoulder Shaping
Cast off 7 (7, 8, 8, 9) sts at beg of the next row.
Patt 1 row.
Cast off rem 7 (8, 8, 9, 9) sts.
SLEEVE
Using 5.00mm needles cast on 33 (33, 33, 35, 35) sts
and work 15 rows of 1 x 1 rib as for back.
Row 16: (WS) Work in Rib, inc 8 sts evenly across row
[41 (41, 43, 47, 47) sts].
Change to 7.00mm needles and work 4 rows stocking
st.
Shaping
Inc 1 st at each end of this and foll 10th (8th ,8th, 6th,
6th) rows until there are 53 (53, 55, 59, 61) sts.
Cont without shaping until work measures 43cm from
beg, ending with a purl row.
Armhole Shaping
Cast off 3 sts at beg of next 2 rows.
Dec 1 st at each end of this and foll alt rows until 25 (25,
29, 33, 37) sts rem, then in every row until 11 sts rem.
Cast off rem sts.
NECKBAND
With right sides facing pin and sew Left Shoulder seam.
Using 5.00mm needles knit up 12 (12, 12, 14, 14) sts
down Right Front, K14 (16, 18, 18, 18) from Front Neck
holder, knit up 12 (12, 12, 14, 14) sts along Left Front,
K30 (32, 34, 36, 38) from Back Neck holder [68 (72, 76,
82, 84) sts]. Work in 1 x 1 rib for 15 rows.
Cast off loosely in rib.
FINISHING
With right sides facing, pin and sew Right Shoulder
including Neckband. Fold neckband in half to back and
over sew loosely, along pick up line. Pin and sew side
seams, sew seams. Set in sleeves. Weave in loose ends.
