NOSO Knit Information
NOSO Knit is a non-profit affair, providing a place for knitters from
everywhere and area shopkeepers to meet for a one-day knit-in. We are
focused on giving back to the community.
The event is organized entirely by volunteers, and everything needed
for the event is donated or paid for with registration fees.
Here is what you need to know:
When: Saturday, November 2, 2013 10am-4pm
Where: Roanoke Higher Education Center
Registration Begins: September 9th
Registration Ends: October 16th or until all spaces are filled
Registration is limited to the first 100 registrants; your registration is complete once we receive your registration fee.
If you have registered and are unable to attend, please inform us so your spot maybe given to the next person on the
waiting list.
There is a non-refundable registration fee of $7.50. These funds are used to purchase items for your goody bag. Each
attendee will receive a goody bag.
There is an admission fee of a knitted item for charity. This includes the following: Infant clothing, Children’s clothing,
women’s clothing, hats, scarves, stuffed animals and washcloths, lap blankets, etc. All items will be donated to local
hospitals, women’s shelters or nursing homes. Please use machine washable and dryable yarns.
We are also collecting items for the knitting group at Alderson Prison in West Virginia. Please clean out your stash. They
need sweater quantities of worsted-weight acrylic or washable wool yarn, sets of buttons, children’s patterns and
