Scores of international jewellery manufacturers will lineup at the Middle East‟s most influential jewellery event, which has attracted 120 new exhibitors from Australia, Indonesia, Kuwait, Portugal and more. The jewellery extravaganza will welcome leading international brands, regional manufacturers and distributors, retailers, jewellery designers and buyers looking to sell and source the best quality jewellery – including hundreds of bespoke luxury pieces - at the best prices. Leading the way is Indian jewellery conglomerate, Lucky Stone Jewellery, who will launch ‘A bird’s eye view of Palm Jumeirah’, an intricate headpiece inspired by the artificial archipelago, at Dubai International Jewellery Week. Carved entirely in gold and weighing approximately 450 grams, the piece is studded with emeralds, rubies, sapphires, black diamonds and champagne diamonds, while natural stones cabochons and onyx depict a falcon flying above the iconic Dubai landmark. “Taking inspiration from the pride of the Emirates, we have tried to immortalise Palm Jumeirah in an intricate jewel piece that we hope will amaze everyone,” said Shadab Asif Supariwala, CEO, Lucky Stone Jewellery. “Being true to the country that always manages to wow the world with its everevolving grandeur, Dubai International Jewellery Week provides an ideal platform to showcase one of our most unique creations to a truly global audience.” Page 1 of 3 The hugely-successful Italian jewellery brand, Rosmundo, will introduce new „Al-Noor’ collection, comprising prestigious gold and diamond necklaces illustrating the figurative honeycomb technique inspired by the Islamic paradise as mentioned in the Holy Quran. The collection will be on show alongside Rosmundo‟s new Italian gemstone collection, „Armony’. Rosmundo Giarletta, founder of Rosmundo, said: “Our collection will offer customers a glimpse into real Italian style and our passion for art. Each Rosmundo jewel reflects the daily story of a man creating fantastic handmade jewellery in his workshop. Exhibiting at Dubai International Jewellery Week presents a wonderful opportunity to meet our target audience and gain an insight of the local industry while obtaining valuable feedback in regards to our new collection.” Indonesian brand UC Silver will also bring their new pieces fresh from the „Sweet Dragonfly: A revolution of design’ collection, while Anatol from Italy will showcase mesmerising designs in 18 carat gold, diamonds and precious stones. Trixie LohMirmand, Senior Vice President, DWTC, organisers of Dubai International Jewellery Week, said: “Dubai is one of the world's most important fashion and design centres so it is very exciting to have so many local and international jewellers participate in the event. Through Dubai International Jewellery Week, exhibitors will have the chance to enter the Middle East market and showcase their collection to quality national and international visitors.” Running alongside the event is the 5th Jewellery Design Awards, taking place on 5 December at a glittering ceremony at Dubai‟s Kempinski hotel. With more than 500 entries culled from every corner of the globe, the awards recognise amateur and professional jewellery creators‟ excellence in design, innovation and creativity. Winners will walk away with a trophy and prizes awarded by GIA Middle East, the regional arm of the world‟s foremost authority in gemology. A prototype of the winning pieces will be manufactured for display by the National Institute of Vocational Education. Leaving no stone unturned, GIA Middle East will be conducting daily seminars at Dubai International Jewellery Week where visitors will learn all there is to know about diamonds and jewellery - from making the perfect purchase to taking proper care of their favourite jewels. The popular Hosted Buyer Programme also returns, providing top-level buyers - from Albania, Bahrain, Kosovo, Macedonia, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Russia and Turkey among others - an opportunity to meet with exhibitors of their choice for focused one-to-one appointments.
