It runs and drives, has current CA tags but has basically been garaged for about 20 years (other than short, occasional trips around town). Two-door. White top, salmon body. Car originally belonged to owner’s grandfather. It will need the usual for any car sitting that long…brakes, hoses, etc. The steel and most paint is original. Upholstery and headliner are also original, but it needs new front seat covers and the rubber floor liner has long since rotted away. The spedo stopped working last year and owner believes the car has under 180k miles on it. Asking $17k. Since it is all original and unmolested, prefer the next caretaker do the same. The motorcyclist, Quad Runners, Car Clubs, all working together to benefit the children and families of Kern County through The Salvation Army of Kern County. As for our needs to accomplish this task is participation. I would like to ask all of the members of the BCCC to come on out and to contact everyone they know through emails, social media, telephone, telegraph, but tell everyone! The general public is welcome too so even your friends that do not have a car, quad, or motorcycle are welcome at the Fairgrounds; however, the parade is only open to motorcyclists, quad runners, classic cars and hot rods, etc. This has become the largest toy run in the state of CA with Bakersfield donating more than any similar event to The Salvation Army in the nation! Please decorate your vehicle and join in. Cars need to be parked (enter south side of Jim Burke Ford) by 10am on Westwind in order to be able to do the parade to the Fairgrounds. Do not throw candy to the folks lined up along the parade route (by request of the Bakersfield PD).
